$11.99 - $1.20 coupon - $10 GCO = $0.79
If you can't use GCO, shipping is free anyway.

It looks cool but can we use the SKU CSE-HDB-U2 For PC/MAC $12.21 as a bootble device? I doubt about it *-). Does anybody already try it before?

No personal experience, however, the Features and Support shows: Bootable: The computer can be booted directly from this enclosure, for the purpose of switching OS and system backup. BIOS support bootable function required.
Reading the description, it looks like the first unit listed by OP, is powered by the usb. Whereas the last one listed by OP, looking at the pictures, has an external power source? Is that correct?

They all seem USB powered.

I can't get the 10% off coupon to work, 'GC10' correct?

Ok, what I found that the second enclosure, the CSE-SBT-ESU25, is power by the USB (see here). This appears to be the same as the first enclosure OP listed, the CSE-SBT-EKU25, except for the color. Now looking at the last enclosure, the CSE-HDB-U2, if you look at the pictures at the link provided, it appears to me that there is a power connection on the back of the unit, to the left of where the USB cable would plug into, indicating an external power source to me? Hmmm?
In-4-1. Thanks OP. Now to find a good deal on a 2.5" drive. Any suggestions?

Hm... could be but every 2.5" enclosure I've come across is USB powered

Neither could I.
Edit: found out the code is case sensitive. I capitalized GC and it worked.
Thanks, OP. Ordered one. Total is $0.79 shipped!

Is the standard hard drive for PC's 2.5"?
Laptop PC's, not Desktop.Correct: 2.5" is the size for Laptop hard-drives (which are more expensive, because they are more compact)

Your eyes are better than mine. I do see what you are talking about now. However, I still expect USB powered. Maybe either USB powered or AC powered. That would be nice, I guess.
speaking of notebook hard drive, I do have a question about how to replace a notebook hard drive (and feel free to flame me since this is a bit off the topic but I really don't know where to consult) - my old Inspiron 5100 has a quite small hard drive storage only 30GB, and I'm looking to get it replaced by a much bigger hard drive. I've done my desktop hard drive replacement a few times by myself including the OS drive, and I just wonder if it'll be similar to replace a notebook hard drive without a serious screw-up? Thanks for advice!

I had the Sabrent before. That enclosure is available under many brands. The connector is weak. The screws are so tiny. Top and bottom of your drive will hit inside of the case so possibility of short circuit. It had prob recognised in some of my computers. The other has Genesis Logic chipset, much better and the board is exactly what's in the well known Hot Drive at Newegg but w/ cheaper thinner metal. And you get a carrying jacket w/ it. Well worth $1 more.

It's going to depend on your USB port(s) and the installed drive as to whether you need to connect one or both cables.

I already am using one of these hard drives. Depending in your motherboard, you should be able to boot from the device. My HP slimline is able to, but my self built pc needs to be specifically set to boot from it. I need only 1 USB connection most times but I always use 2 just in case.
Oranje said: same here. I placed a bunch of orders and no CashBack is showing. I agree you should get CashBack on the pre-GCO amount, since that is the amount the merchant got paid in total. Guess I'll file a support ticket for each of mky many orders.. Cash Back is given to us from FW. It's FW's calculation that gives U x% after all discounts ... another word, x% Cash Back for what U paid? Can some FW mod elaborate on this?
