thats correct, these are not on display...they are in a box about 5 feet high x 3 feet. wide It retains some heat but nothing drastic. We have gotten use to it really quickly.
Dispoable, you are better without Costco since you don't agree with the cancellation of the "lifetime warranty" Weather or not use the system is regardless, some people outright abused it. Why should costco lose money because of that. And the policy they went to still beats countless retail stores. As for price, if you shop right, you will get bargains. If you need the need for bulk purchaseing (people business operate of costco stock, families of 20 live from costco) its a good deal. Just cause someone sells something, it doesn't make it a good deal... |

The Complete Sleep Shop comes all attached as one mattress. No need to assemble.
damatrixz said:I found some great deals on eBay. But thats eBay, its much harder to deal with a seller than an actual B&M store. On top of that i found alot of them arent even bonded together. They state you can change put the layers in different orders depending on your comfort.
The costco policy states the exceptions are only eligible for returns before 90DY, everything else has the lifetime policy. That may be why people are confused. |

I'd like to buy a king mattress.. Any ideas on the beds or bedsets to buy for these? Platform beds are perhaps best for these, right?
what are people using these with?
As an aside, I'm in Calif., but am thinking of buying a King instead of Cal-King (Cal-king seems to be longer and less wide, King is wider ) so is mail-order the best bet for all things? |

disposable said:.they stopped taking back plasma tv's at the stores 4 months before they announced it here. nobody believed that was true, either. and if you haven't noticed, a lot of the stuff in their stroes is "refurbished." at least it is here.
The only "refurbished" I have seen around the Tacoma area are at the Fife Business Center Costco. All the TVs and cameras in that store are refurbs. Well except for the small security monitor TVs... |

I bought one of these Novaform foam mattresses from Costco in March, it was a King. We paid %659 after a coupon from the regular mailing booklets. WE LOVE IT!
A platform bed is the best setup for a memory foam mattress. If you want to use a boxspring then you should put a layer of plywood or particle board down in-between. The foam needs full support (don't want empty spots like boxsprings have). Right now we have it directly on our floor because we upgraded from Queen to King and haven't purchased a new bedroom set yet. |

How well does the coolwave work? Do you live in a warm climate? Thats my main issue, where i live its gets hot so if it retains too much heat its not good for me. |

The model I have is not the Coolwave. However, I still don't notice any real difference from our previous mattress. I live in NC so it ain't exactly cool here either. It just seems like one of those things that people either hate or love. No way to know until you try. |

I dont know what youre talking about. Costco will return any non-electronic item no questions asked. Their revised return policy only affects high-price electronics (ipods, TVs, etc). It doesnt affect things like foam mattresses.
BTW though - returning this thing is a b**ch. The foam expands once you open it, and it's impossible to make it "small" again.

ucbedge, if you've had it more than 90 days, let us all know what happened. 30 days, no sweat. the next 60 days, interrogation, be sure to take a urine specimen and a blood sample as well. more than that, too bad. that's the way it is here in washington state. i started shopping at costco when they opened their first store. their corporate headquarters is about 45 minutes from where i live now.

Heads up guys!
Costco.com has the Novaform Fresh Dreams mattress which is a 7" foam base, 4" memory foam and 1" coolwave memory foam. Currently $550 shipped for queen. The warehouse does not have this version.
Costco warehouses have the Novaform Elite which is a 9" base and 3" of memory foam. Currently $499 for queen.
Seems like a no brainer. I just wish the Fresh Dreams version was in the warehouse! I believe this is a newer version. |

Yes this is the main reason i went with this it has 5in of ACTUAL memory foam. I have not found any other mattress with that much, usually they have 3in or less. The bed arrived about 3dys ago extremely fast shipping i ordered when i posted. It came in a box weighed about 70lbs and it was folded about 2wice over. I have slept in it 2 nights so far and i had 0 back pain. I used to have some back pains from my other mattresses but with this i sleep lik a baby.
It is a bit warm but not too much. The only complaint i have is its still uneven on a few sides im still waiting for it to retain the original shape. Other than that, i just drop and i feel its support. |

The Elite version is available online as well for the regular shipped price of $550. The Fresh Dreams version includes a $150 coupon good through May 31st which brings it down to $550 from a regular price of $700. |

If you don't want to use a platform bed, suggest checking the link earlier on "cheaper-pedic". For about $100 you can get a VERY firm 8-9" foam slab from Pennys works fine as a box spring |

You really should edit your first post with the specs for this bed. You clearly didn't know them when you first posted. The difference in the thickness of the memory foam over the wally world bed and the Costco warehouse bed is 40%. The difference is significant. People thinking they can get this at the warehouse will get a drastically different bed and a crappy deal. |

is anyone who has this mattress a back sleeper? I'm a side sleeper and love my twin memory foam (a do it myself fat wallet inspired kit), my fiancee is a back sleeper and thinks my memory foam is too soft for her... |

Just cause you cant click a link and read totally negates anything you just said. It clearly states its online only and describes the 5in of actual memory foam. |
