Yep. He should be able to get it for at least $86 for the 4GB. That's the lowest asking price. But it's the asking price and if he's good at haggling, he should be able to get it cheaper. Check here for a list of the asking prices at various stores in various Chinese cities.

Also, he can get you the SL model. It cost 100 yuan more but it has almost twice the battery life and is thinner. This is the model people buy in China and not last year's model that they sell in the US. I guess they have to clear out the warehouses by dumping those somewhere.

can you still get the rebate for the 4GB version? I got it about a month ago but didn't send out the rebate form...and now it's not listed on Newegg
