and support does not address the concerns on their forums as quick. The turnaround time for something to be fixed for meizu is around 2 weeks, which is unbeatably fast.

QUICKAVE said:4gb sd card $24.99 no name sd mp3 player $19.99 why would anyone pay $99.99 for the meizu when anyone can have the same for much less.
Apparantly, you have no clue on the quality of the Meizu's as well as their 2.4" TFT screen, xvid playback etc etc.
Anyhow, these are actually Dane-Elec Meizu's. Same thing but Walgreen's might be skirting some import restrictions. |

Walgreens...yes of all the places...is selling a 4GB Meizu MP3/MP4 Portable Media Player for 99$
Pretty good reviews and plays WMV/MP3/OGG/WAV/XviD files. Also has an FM tuner and games(?).
i bought a white one today and will post more when i get to play around with it.
here is the Link
One more thing. Walgreen's ships slow on these for some reason. Maybe 7 - 10 days before shipping. |

If you want an armband I believe you have to purchase it separately, with the crystal case, which also includes:
Black Velcro Arm Band Color Matching Belt Clip Color Matching Neck Strap (lanyard) Color Matching Kick Stand for Viewing Video Full Access to Track Pad and On/Off Pause/Start No Access to Lock Color Matching Button Extender
Two purchasing options are here (ships from China, $9.00) and here (ships from Canada, $11.95). Credit to others here who posted links to the sites so I could look for the armband.
Edit: found this U.S.-based distributor who sells for less: JTC Electronics |

For audio podcasts check out Juice Receiver. It's free and subscribes to podcasts. As long as you don't mind moving the mp3s from your computer to your player, then you'll have support for any mp3 player out there.
As for video podcasts, I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult considering this player supports native xvid video files. |

I just ordered the white. Can this player play songs I downloaded from Itunes? If not, is there a way to convert the file in Itunes to make it compatible with this player? |

Burn Itunes songs to CD as MP3s, and then copy them over to the Meizo. |

So, are the 4GB versions available in the stores or is this a web only deal since it says on the website "web special"?
I just don't want to wait 9 days to have it shipped if I can pick it up in store. With the added shipping ($4.99) plus tax (6%), it's not much cheaper than getting one via ProVantage for $113.25 shipped ground... |

8G version is currently priced at about 125-130 MSRP in China. Though it's not yet available at Walgreens.
This looks like a really nice PMP. Wish they could roll in GPS into it as well. It'd make one less gadget to have to carry around. |
