WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
MICHELIN / BFGOODRICH IS RANDOMLY DENYING REBATES!!!
I first called Sept 20 and they said they were denying the rebate because of the date of purchase. I adamantly insisted that the date was within the time frame specified on the form. She said they would investigate and resolve in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later, I called and they said I was next on the list to resolve. I called today and she said it was denied because the Discount Tire was not a participating dealer and shouldn't have given me the form. She said MANY REBATES ARE BEING DENIED FOR THIS REASON, AND SUGGESTED I CONTACT THE DISCOUNT TIRE WHERE I PURCHESED MY TIRES. I called BS and threatened them with calling the FTC, my attorney general and posting on the various shopping forums. So she says she would put it through for special submission to her superiors and let me know in 2 weeks. BS BS BS BS! I told her she had 2 weeks and then I would start posting and calling the FTC and AG. But I couldn't, in good concience, wait while hundreds of my fellow FWers fall blindly into the Michelin/BFGoodrich trap.
UPDATE: SURPRISE! SURPRISE! I FINALLY RECEIVED THE $50 VISA DEBIT CARD FROM MY PURCHASE IN MAY 07.
I had to call and threaten them several times but it finally came thru. I'll think twice before purchasing a bfgoodrich tire based on a rebate again.
UPDATE: This rebate was supposed to be $50 toward any purchases at Discount Tire, but I bought groceries with it! wooohooo!

OK, I need a pair (not four) of 225/60 tires, what is the best deal....

alert mods

cool! just what i needed!

now hopefully bfgoodrich traction t/a's are on sale/rebates!

I highly recommend the triple tread assurance tires to anyone who dosen't drive a sports car and dosen't own dedicated snow tires. They rock in snow, water and are good on dry surfaces.

Check with Tire Kingdom/Merchant's Tire if they are in your area. I just put Traction T/A's on my wifes car last month & they were having a buy 3 get 1 free deal on Traction T/A's. I believe I saw an ad that extended it into May, but I'm not certain. Made the tires cheaper than any rebate that I found.

Good timing on the thread. I'm about due for a change.... Thanks for the info, OP

The "fine print" on the BF Goodrich $100 says Offer only valid in Canada!

You're right! I fixed that.
I found that Discount Tires has an additional rebate on BFGoodrich, Continental, General Tire, Pirelli & Yokohama. I'll add to the post. The rebate form says "not valid with any other offer" but the page that links to the rebate says "you can get additional savings by using your carcareone card"

thanks op

Nice work, OP. Too late for me as bought new tires from Wally World in March. But thanks & green for all the effort.

alert mods

Green for OP for all your effort, too bad i dont have a Discount Tire card otherwise i would have qualified for a rebate.

alert mods

OK..I just purchased 4 Firestone Destination LE tires...can't find the rebate form. Can someone post a scan?

I second that--we put 4 on the momobile in November and have been very pleased. The rebate was processed within the 12 weeks, but lost in the mail. Getting Goodyear to replace the refund was suprisingly easy. Overall a great experience.

man what timing

im looking for some 275/55-20 tires for my quad dodge ram 02 truck
so far discount tire is the best (here in Houston) and if you sign up for their email list, you should get a $25 gift card (print out email card) like i did so right now i like the General Grabber UHP with $40 rebate plus my gift card is looking good. plus i already have a discount tire CarCareOne credit card which gives me the 6 month 0 financing

oh you think i can get another $50 rebate by using the CarCareOne Card?

so $25 gift card Discount Tire, $40 rebate from General Tires, $50 rebate from CareCarOne Card, thats a deal

I heard a RUMOR today. Maybe someone here can confirm it?
Costco will have a new $60 discount on 4 tires in June and it might include the BF Goodrich?
Supposedly it comes in the new passport book. Whoever gets it in the snailmail first, please confirm or unconfirm it. I need to decide before the current rebates expire.

This rumor threw a wrench in my plans

just checked their website. they only have 1yr of free oil change for any 4tire purchase.

Iam planning to get the Firehawk Wide Oval because they have 100$ rebate.
Does anybody know if they are good?

BTW, thanks OP for this good summary of all the deals! Helped me a lot to decide.
I thought of Costco but firestone looked cheaper! Costco came to 156.99 per tire(-15 for rebate) where as firestone is only 112.99(-25$ rebate)!
Looks like a steal for me!

Thanks for doing all of the work, OP! Sears is currently running a sale thru 5/19 on certain Goodyear tires so those prices are less than w'mart's but they're also offering 20$ or 40$ Sears gift cards. Gotta make a decision before I'm down to the wear bars!

"Shears" -as I call them- wants within $20 for their Goodyear HR tires as the Michelin Hydroedge's I ordered from CostCo. They apparently put certain SIZES of Goodyears on sale, --- not the entire line.
