I literally *just* activated my phone, and I now have 140 minutes using code 51283 with a 60 minute card. Assuming I got 20 minutes for activating online, that means it was worth a bonus 60 minutes.

140 minutes + 60 minute card still to activate = 200+ minutes and a phone for $21 shipped. Sweet deal!

Used bonus code 54969 when purchasing 200 minutes on the web. I have a double minute plan, so I would normally get 400 minutes without use of a bonus code (as if!!). I got 130 bonus minutes + 90 days for a total of 530 minutes which comes to about 7.5 cents/minute. 6/14/07 at 9:30 PM Pacific time

Thanks for the info. I used it today for a 200 minute and ended up with only 500 minutes for 42 bucks. But still a good deal.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU GET IT!!! Here is a suggestion for next time:

1. JUST activate the phone on line and you will have 20 minutes and 60 days.

2. Start using your Tracfone.

3. When your minutes get down to 1 minute left or no days left, you would use the FIRST 60 minute card. After visiting this thread again, to get the current bonus code, you could get 90 more days, and 60 minutes, plus 60 bonus minutes.

4. Continue using your Tracfone.

5. When your minutes get down to 1 minute left or no days left, you could use the SECOND 60 minute card. After visiting this thread again, to get the current bonus code, you could get 90 more days, and 60 minutes, plus 60 bonus minutes.

To recap, you have spent ~$22 You have received 60 + 90 + 90 = 240 days of service. You have also received 20 + 60 + 60 + 60 + 60 = 260 service minutes. At this point, pay Tracfone another $22 (THEY'VE EARNED IT!)

$22 For 240 days of service is less than $3 per month!!!

$22 For 260 minutes of service is less than 9 cents per minute!!!

$22 For both is just a GREAT DEAL!!! YMWNV (Your Mileage Will Not Vary)

p.s. If you have any minutes left over at the end of the 240 days, Tracfone customer service will be happy to transfer them to your new phone.

FOLKS, TRACFONE HAS A LONG RUNNING (but poorly promoted/understood) SPECIAL. IT IS BUY ONE 60 MINUTE CARD AND GET ONE 60 MINUTE CARD FREE WITH A FREE PHONE THROWN IN AS A BONUS. IF YOU ARE BUYING ANYTHING ELSE FROM TRACFONE, YOU ARE LIKELY OVERPAYING!!!

If you want to take advantage of this deal, go to http://www.tracfone.com/e_store.jsp?task=buyphone
enter your zip code, confirm the service city, then select the first deal on the next screen.

p.p.s. There is no reason why you could not buy this special, and use both 60 minute airtime cards on your old tracfone - Motorola V170 flip phone or whatever, and sell the free phone on fleabay.

Some promotions are for a limited time only and others for only one time use. Maybe that's what happened.

That phone offer you're talking about is only available in certain areas. I tried to get that offer but the area I live in is only cdma so no extra minutes + phone offers are available here. The phones are so cheap anyways...I got a flip for $49.99 + the double minute card and a 200 minute card - I used the promocode for 50 extra minutes and got an extra 30 for a total of 480 minutes. Now every card I buy is doubled + they have promos all the time so extra minutes.. that's a sweet deal.

Code 57676 for 30 bonus days is still working on June 23 @ 11:00pm EDT.

Used Web and a 60 min. Airtime card.
Got:
60 minutes
90 days (standard)
30 days (bonus)
Total of 120 days.

The web page that shows your confimation of Airtime card added is in error. It says you got 60 minutes and 60 days plus 30 bonus days for a total of 90 days, but your phone will annunciate that you now get 90 days standard and your date will advance 120 days.

Since it worked, I used 57676 with another Airtime card for my 2nd Tracfone and got a repeat of the above.

Both phones got 60 minutes and 120 days.

Has anyone used this code more than once per phone or is it a one-time use per phone?

I used the code 51283 on the web to add my 1 year 400 minutes double minute card that I received with a phone in December last year. I received the 400 minutes + 460 bonus minutes, but no additional service days. So I received 860 minutes and 365 days.

I just finished doing this because my computer has been in the shop for 25 days (Yeah, that's another story Tracfone sent me an email with this offer. What I left out was that it requires an airtime purchase so I just added a 30 minute card for 9.99. Ended up with 365 days of service + an additional 45 days with the 30 minute card for about 65.00 with tax.
The link that I used from the email is http://www.tracfone.com/add_buy_airtime.jsp?task=add_buy&fromMenu=yes
