Updated link

OP may want to show price of $109.95 !!! Hardly a hot deal bud!

would be nice if you could include the price. link isn't working either.

I see $59.99...

sory, this is the link
Maxtor 300GB Ultra DMA/100 16MB Buffer L01Y300 - Retail Hard Drive Kit. for $59.99 only

I have to defend the OP because earlier this evening I clicked on his link and it was as posted. I snooozed on it trying to think of what I could do with yet another hard drive, then came back here to find the posts about a change in price.

..that's very strange, works for me. I see $59.99. Try manually searching this model # L01Y300 or this item # 4987821.

I see $59.99 also -- might have been going through some listing issues, but it seems working at $59.99

Link shows $59.99 for me too. + for OP from me.

ooo but this is a repost, sort of.(<That post says PATA/100 but links to the same HDD)

is this sata or pata?

lol I just placed an order on this when it said $59.99. Everything went through fine (free shipping, no tax) and the info on it was... Ultra ATA 100 Interface.

PATA ~= ATA6 (or ATA5) ~= ATA/100 (or ATA/133) ~= UDMA. The U in UDMA being Ultra. So as long as you were looking for a non-SATA drive...

Hot deal, less then 20c/gb

Thanks

Thanks, but I need a sata.

Oh, and Office Depot will have a 300 GB Maxtor for $49.99 after MIR starting 6-17.

Use a Staples $25 off 100 to sweeten the deal to about $0.08 / per GB.

so if your looking for a sata, it would be prudent to note as to whether the OD 300 will be pata or sata
wouldn't it?
