I'd like to update my experiences in trying to get another month free.

At home, I tried a different email address, different CC and my original computer (after running various "cleaning" software tools) with my original snail mail address. No luck.

Thinking that BB may possibly trace IPs, I went to a remote location and used a new email address, new CC, new SNAIL mail address and a fresh CCard. Again, no luck. The *ONLY* variable that was unchanged was the billing address on my CC was my original snail mail address.

The thing that I have not done is to cancel my current plan prior to trying to re-up on another account. It now appears obvious that two plans will not run to the same address (DUH! I should've realized this by now). I was trying to re-up for free prior to cancelling my current account because of the change to the in-store renewal policy. My next billing is early Sept, so I'll actually pay for one month (gasp!) then cancel because I certainly will not continue paying with only five in-store exchanges/month.

More to follow in early Sept....

I went back to my old account and changed all my info.
NAme, address, email. home address.

THis worked for me.
Not sure which exactly but it worked.

I did open a new account for the new free trial.

Here is the second email that explains they will NOT automatically renew your subscription. And I have to choose a new plan. Their new plans seem to not include the monthly free rental coupon I received on my plan. Once you reach your IN-STORE limit (5) you can still drop off movies and they will be logged and sometimes movies ship that same day from the Que.
YMMV.


    Shipping from Blockbuster to me is 1-2 days.
    1. Drop off mailed movies MONDAY. I haven't mailed back in months!
    2. Blockbuster logs mailed movies in-store MONDAY.
    3. My Blockbuster Online acct immediately shows "rec in-store" MONDAY.
    4. New movie(s) ship MONDAY,sometimes TUESDAY
    5. Mailed movie(s) arrive next day TUESDAY! 1-2 days is the norm. They dont ship from Blockbuster on Saturday.

My $17.99/mo, 3 at-a-time, with unlimited in-store exchanges, was set to renew on Sunday so I went to cancel today on the BB.com site.

After getting to the end of the process they gave me the option to get another 4 free weeks of 3 out at a time (albeit with 0 in-store exchanges). Sold! Another free month.

I marked three (price, not getting movies from top of queue and slow shipping). BB then asked for my primary reason and I selected slow turnaround/shipping.
