owenscott said:Did you get it re-instated @ 4 out or just three? It's been very strange. It was re-instated to 4 for almost a week and I think yesterday they now changed it to 3 at a time. It was very weird how the whole thing worked and I wouldn't do it again during a free month trial. It's a big YMMV since I had to call to fix it. |

Be careful. They'll cancel your account if you try to get as many DVDs as you can get during the trial by using the "I returned the DVD already, please send the next DVD" account problem reporting feature too often. "Hello XXXXX,
Due to problems with your account, we are unable to continue serving you. Your subscription to Blockbuster.com will be cancelled, effective Friday, July 20, 2007. To avoid additional charges, return all DVDs rented online by Sunday, August 19, 2007. If you feel you have received this notice in error, please contact Customer Care at 1-866-692-2789 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. CST Monday through Friday. We appreciate your cooperation. Sincerely, Blockbuster OnlineŽ Customer Care " |

If you have a B&M BB close to you, you'll receive your online movies quicker since the bb.com website is now "real time" with the stores. In other words, when you return to the store, your queue is immediately cleared and the next selections will ship the next business day. Example: I receive movies in the mail today, I return to my B&M BB tonight. More selections from bb.com ship tomorrow. Love it. |

Well I just did that and it screwed me out of my free month. It just disappeared. I emailed them and hopefully I'll get my month back. So don't DO THIS. Blockbuster changed their policy on this.
If you downgrade the new price goes into affect on the next billing. If you upgrade the new price goes into affect immediately, canceling your free trial. They got me too, but I wound up with nearly 70 movies for $25.00. When I clicked too expensive to cancel they offered me 3 out at a time for 16.99 ... what a deal, I could have saved a dollar.

Perhaps they were throttling me when I had a "real" account a few months ago and was actually paying for the service. Paying customers get throttled, free "trial" customers get immediate service. Great business model. |

i think they've caught on, i used a new email/cc#/billing address/etc but i can no longer change the shipping address. it kept saying the address is already used by another member. i guess this is only good for those free game rentals now. |

I didn't want to start a new thread on this, but when I went in to my local BB last night to turn in my movies (that had arrived in the mail), I was told that I would have to (within a month) buy some kind of new member card (I have one that I've been using for years) for about $20. This is in addition to my monthly membership fee. Anyone else know what this is about? |

I can't imagine what they're thinking, since they've basically got NetFlix down on the ground at this point. If they think I'm going to fork out more money on this, they're wrong. |

Similar situation here. My 4-week trial started 6/30, the last DVD they actually mailed me was on 7/10, all mailed DVDs were returned in-store a few days after I got them, and my last in-store free rental was returned 7/20. I had a total of about 7 DVDs out in the past 24 days, and it seems like my trial was shut off prematurely. It was my first experience with Blockbuster Online and it definitely wasn't positive. |

Are these changes taking effect when it comes back up? also NetFlix site is down until 9 am PT, must be uploading those price cuts.

Are we gransfathered in untill next month or what ? I have not received any emails from BB regarding this policy change. Is it posted on their website somewhere? Thanks in advance for clarification. |
