A friend of mine who works at CBS news sent this to me. If you come to the Early Show you will get free admission for the day to Six Flags great adventure in Jackson, NJ.

They will also be holding a Kidscaster Weather Auditions for kids 4-16 of age from 8 AM - 12 noon in this area. Dave Price will do a meet and greet from 9 am - 10 am in the Wiggles World area. (Audience members will obviously receive free admission to the park)

The need to arrive at the park at 6:30 a.m. via our employee entrance. Directions are as followed: When merging onto 537 from 195, go through two lights, PASS the main Six Flags entrance on your right...DO NOT GO THAT WAY, stay to the left and go under the overpass. You will approach an employee/service entrance on your left. Turn left and sign in at the Security Booth.

Also, we have all guests RSVPing by call 732-928-2000 ext. 2833.

Our address is...
Six Flags Great Adventure
Rt. 537
Jackson, NJ 08527

Angel"

Not bad considering the high admission prices to SF-GA. I personally don't think its worth getting up at 5:00 am to reach by 6:30 am and then wait 2.5 hours until the park opens.

I guess they'll have this better organized than the chaos recently when the radio station had a free day at SFOG.

Wish I lived closer for some Kingda Ka.

I'm hoping to get up there later this year, and will use my $39.99 season's pass to get in.

Oh boy, 537 is a 2-lane highway. This spells DISASTER!

Usual parking to SF NJ is $15. But this might be different, since you will be entering through employee entrance. Also, I think the usual start time for SF is around 10AM, so they ask you to leave at 10am, after they are done with CBS Morning Show. Obviously, I don't know that for a fact, I am think evaluating the deal.

Might not be so bad. You will be on Turnpike/I-195 most of the time, you will need to go on 537 for about a mile after the exit (unless you live on 537 and take 537 all the way).

Stay away from this. If its anytihng like the disaster in Atlanta, you better pray you're no where near.

Oh my $##@ I cannot believe after the total insanity here in GA that Six Flags is doing this again! I pray to God that someone sues the hell out of them or prosecutes their marketing people. What they did here in GA was just WRONG! I spent hours trying to get to work that day because of the thousands who came from everywhere to get in free and they closed the park to admission in less than 30 mins because it was at capacity! People got so sick of waiting some even let their kids out on the freeway to walk to the park, not that the 1 mph traffic speeds were all that dangerous. And all 6 flags could do to make it up to the people of Atlanta was say "I'm sorry" and here they are doing it again....

Actually that was the radio stations job/fault. Not SF. SF gave the station a max # of people. Radio station told SF OK. Radio station didn't comply.
And it was because the entire ghetto that showed up that caused the problem, who were also the ones stupid enough to drop off their kids on the interstate.

But your letter wasn't to Six Flags was it? (and it shouldn't have been). It was the radio station's fault. SFOG told the station a max # of people. The station said OK, and said only about 3000 people will show up. Station didn't comply, had no way to limit # of people who showed up and let everyone who showed up try to get in.
I heard the whole ghetto showed up, who were also the parents dumb enough to drop their kids off on the interstate and leave.

Actually my letter went to both and got responses from both. Each a waste of time. So, ok, the excuse for Six Flags last time may have been the radio stations ineptitude. They now know what happens on 'free' days (and this was not the first time they had done this either but lets overlook that) so what excuse do they have with 20,000 people show up in NJ?

As for Six Flags, we spoke with our wallet this summer and spent the last week of May at Disney World because of the garbage they pulled. Its amazing how much cheaper things are at Disney versus Six Flags too.

I went yesterday and can I say that me and my 2 girls and one of their girlfriends were a few of the handful that showed up? We had a great time and they even served us breakfast and opened up a few rides for the kids in Wiggle World at 9am. At 9:30 the park opened up to season pass holders only and a few of the bigger rides opened up. We practically had the park to ourselves. It was a wonderful day and barely cost me anything.

Thanks so much to the OP for giving me the heads up. Definatley NO FW EFFECT for this deal.

Nice to hear. It's always fun when the crowds are very light. It's happened to me a few times. This Memorial Day at SFOG was awesome.

What did they pull?
What was cheaper (and by how much)? SF food is expensive (as is any big Cedar Fair park or any of the Busch parks), but I'd say the gate entry & resort price at Disney makes up for if their food happens to be a bit cheaper than SF (which I've never heard anyone else say).
