See, that back-to-school stuff is already working!

OP clearly hasn't graduated.

why the red???

dodgeman007 said: why the red???

I was wondering the same thing.

I assume it is because it mentions deals from Buy.com.

A shame other retailers are being tarnished by having deals associated in the same thread as a Buy.com Deal.

OP should remove the Buy.com deal and I bet the thread goes green.

I've bought dozens of stuff from Buy.com with no problems with rebates or anything so FUGGEDABOUTIT!!!

dodgeman007 said: why the red???

We're having way too much fun pool hopping so we don't want to think about school ....

No, there are hundreds (if not thousands) of people on here who like Buy.com deals. Actually, a bunch of red is what you normally see when someone attempts to be very funny but instead is only very lame - as in the To-Do List.

it's the MOST wonderful time of the year!!!!!

<---a mom, not a student.

Buy.com sells from empty shelves. They act as a middleman between you and the seller.
They charge your credit card before the item ships then if the seller can't fulfill
and cancels the order try getting your money back from Buy.com, it's a tough job
I've seen it. Look on their site see if you can find a phone #

Text
but you're a member of Fat Wallet and there's a thread with all the "hard to find internet retailer phone numbers" in it.

First page, first number listed is Buy.com.

Not based on my experience. Maybe you're using too many Google Checkout accounts. That is the problem with GCO, I'm pretty sure they charge you when the order is placed.

Red for saying "hella".

This is a good post. All you people giving red are insane.
I give it green

gumbytex said: Red for saying "hella".

"a hella Cash Back sale" really is the worst use of hella ever.

people in cali dont use hella like that, this is a sham!

I was spammed to this thread.

I guess the red is coming from the people who were spammed to this thread.

Hee hee!! I totally agree!!

Apparently there is some boycott of Buy.com going on? I don't know the reasons though. I've bought a ton of stuff from them over the years and will continue to. I support the boycotters though as it'll just leave more in stock for me.

Back to school sales in July? Have mercy on the wee ones

dodgeman007 said: why the red???

1. Draw up blueprint to kick butt space saving loft/splinter haven/place to hit head at 2:00 a.m.
2. Pick up toga from cleaner’s.
3. Stock mini fridge with six-packs of be— uh… soda, milk, yogurt.
4. Rework schedule to classes after 10:00 and Fridays off.
5. Check back often on FatWallet’s Back to School offers so I can afford all the tools necessary for a successful scholastic career and surely secure social greatness.

Yikes! Maybe the Back to School posts should be proofread - or are the errors intentional?

There is the udder/utter and "hella" misuse...

What does "kick butt space saving loft/splinter haven/place to hit head" mean??

No apostrophe needed in cleaners.

And since when is school necessary to secure social greatness?

shopliftinginva said: it's the MOST wonderful time of the year!!!!!

finally they are out of the house! yay!

dodgeman007 said: why the red???
maybe this will explain why ppl are upset at Buy.com

bobo2 said: I was spammed to this thread.

That's why I gave it red.

"hella" is colloquial for "hell of" which is slang for "very much so"

"kick butt space saving loft/splinter haven/place to hit head" means a "rather welcome place to sleep after partying too much".

The apostrophe in cleaner's implies the possesive, not the plural. There is only one toga, therefore the cleaner is singular. The sentence is contracted from "I need to pick up the toga from the cleaner's establishment."

Item 5 was to achieve two goals, both supported by discounted purchases originating from FatWallet’s Back to School offers.

Ok, I was bored.

Staples 0% Cash Back for sale?

zeik said: What does "kick butt space saving loft/splinter haven/place to hit head" mean??Sounds like "need to draw up blueprint to kick butt", but what it should say is:
Draw up blueprint to [a] kick butt space saving loft/splinter haven/place to hit head at 2:00 a.m.

Is this clearer?

Back-to-School To-Do List:
1. Draft blueprint for a kick-butt, space-saving dorm room.
2. Get toga dry cleaned.
3. Stock mini-fridge with six-packs of be— uh… soda, milk, yogurt.
4. Rework schedule to get Fridays off and mornings off.
5. Take advantage of FatWallet’s Back-to-School offers so I can afford all the supplies necessary for a successful scholastic career and social greatness.

My copywriting invoice will be in the mail.

At least it's the END of July. Staples started their $.01 sale right after 4th of July.

its a sale it was posted when it starts i guess they could have posted it aug 30 so its really back to school but then everyone with half a brain already has all the stuff they need THIS IS GREAT its a way for us to save money if you dont like it why give red?

yadler1 said: Back to school sales in July? Have mercy on the wee ones

dodgeman007 said: why the red???

Think nationally. Many school districts in the southwest start the first week of August and end in mid-May.

College starts in mid-august in NY.
