Are you saying that a true baseball fan would not sit in the upper deck? If so, thathas to be the stupidest thing ever posted here. A TRUE baseball fan is happy to be at the game and does not engage in the snobbery of rejecting a good deal just because it is for upper deck seats.

it's not so bad to sit in the upper deck. but as one who goes to quite a few games at shea a year, i will tell you that if you were to make a mistake and think you had loge or mezzanine seats (which are the 2nd and 3rd levels - upper deck is 4th, and field level is the first), no one would tell you of your error, as long as you found seats no one was sitting in, which isnt hard to do. You cant sit in the loge box, at least not in the center of the stadium and you can't sit in field level unless you have the proper tickets.
oh, and you can bring sealed plastic bottles of water or vitamin water etc, at least that has been the policy until now.

You can bring your own drinks, but no glass bottles and no alcohol. You can even bring a sandwich if you want. I do.
