I've always wondered about the difference between Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey (with many flavors), and Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Natural Whey (with only chocolate, strawberry and vanilla flavors). Is there really a big diff? |

Is there really a big diff? Sucralose (Splenda Brand) Some hate it; check google and you will find one or two serious discussions/complaints about it. I have tried two flavors outside of the natural chocolate, and I hated him. The two flavors were Cookies & Cream, and Rocky Road. I'm sticking to the good ol' tried and true, Chocolate. |

The costco EAS is just as bad. Severe gas. Its no joke. Actually, that is quite a joke! I find it very funny as I supplement with about 55 grams of this stuff everyday, and have been doing so for close to two years (when Costco switched to EAS), and have never had any issues with 'natural gas'. Eggs, on the other hand as another poster mentioned, are a completely different story. |

The natural is better for you... Artificial sweeteners can cause a whole bunch of stuff and I'd rather not take the chance if I can help it. At least the regular stuff doesn't have aspartame in it. |

Since I always end up mixing splenda with my whey anyway to drink, does that make it easier to buy the non-natural stuff since it has sucralose or aspartame already in it? Got mine today. This tastes REALLY good (double rich chocolate). I can hardly distinguish between this and Nestle chocolate milk. Now maybe I'll see more results from my workouts. Thanks, OP! |

Got my order today from supplementpricematch. They substituted two 5lb tubs for a 10lb bag, which is fine. However, both tubs were smashed, which makes me believe that they're selling product that they've gotten damaged credit for from the supplier and are supposed to be trashing. I won't be buying from them again. |

The gas issues are due to the type of whey protein. When you buy this stuff, look at the ingredients list. Whey protein concentrate is the cheaper type which causes gas/bloating for a lot of people. Whey protein isolate has a higher level of digestibilty and thus, dodes not cause the same level of intestinal distress. Remember that the ingredients list on all foods must list said ingredients in order of their quantity. So look for the first type of protein and you'll know what the product is primarily composed of. |

for those of you who ordered optimum nutrition, in case you're having trouble mixing or getting chunks of powder not mixed properly, here is what i found out - Too cold or too hot water results in chunks What you need is just mildly warm water, not too hot. i put 8oz water in the microwave for 55s, mixed it with spoon and no lumps or chunks whatsoever. Just perfect. This morning i had the water in the microwave for 80s and it ended with chunks of pieces. HTH |

What's up? Just looking around at different forums and checking stuff out. Thought I'd say hi. I had never heard of fat wallet until now. Looks liek it has a lot of interesting stuff. I've found some nice deals in the past at Vitasprings.com They don't seem to be as well known as Vitacost or some others, but I think they are pretty competitive Nutrition Dude |

Nutrition Dude Don't see any ON Gold there, which seems to be the Whey of choice, so to speak. |
