I'd jump on this, but I'm looking for a 1080p set (going to have to get a 37")
I just picked one up at my local Staples...$466 OTD with that 12% off coupon floating around on the net. Looks like a nice bedroom set to attach to the wall arm mount.
Thanks a lot for the post! I went and picked up one of these using that coupon. I've been looking for a good deal on a decent sized LCD for a while. I haven't hooked it up yet but it should work just fine for a bedroom tv.
ukuleledan said:What is maximum HDTV resolution on this? Will it do 1080i? How do I figure it out? Thanks!720p is essentially 1080i but I doubt this TV will be able to do actual 1080i as most TVs don't and a cheap brand is certainly no exception. For the money, its still a sweet deal IMHO.
cklennon said:Check eBay, $50 off $500 for around $5 Can you combine this with the 12% off coupon? I am trying to buy $100 worth prepaid TMobile phone card along with this TV. (Total will be $599 with card). Edit,,
Just found out about the terms it is not valid in store....

I picked one up this afternoon. Exterior wise, this cheap TV looks much better then other cheap TVs I've seen. Was going to get an Olevia but tired of waiting.
OTA HDTV looks great! No more staticy image! Was watching Wheel of Fortune and counting Vanna's wrinkles. Going to hook up to the cable line and see how QAM HDTV looks later. The only cons I can think of is the remote seems flimsy and it took long time to search for channel for initial set up. First LCD TV so don't know if it takes long for other LCDs as well.
Any one have any inputs on extended warranty, Staple wants $133.xx for 2 year extended, no way I am paying that. Roll the dice and go warranty less?
My final price was $476.xx with 8.375% tax. I am liking this TV a lot. Hopefully it will last 4+ years.
Extended warranties on lcd...according to consumer reports, its a bad idea in general. It is rare at this age for an LCD HDTV to fail within the first two years. Life expextency is around 20 years at 8 hours per day I believe, for a typical LCD HDTV...I could be off on that by a bit, I'm not great with numbers.
I got it today and something caught my eye. On page 22 of the manual which is here, it says, "NOTE: This TV set does not provide HD video Output." Can somebody educate me what this means? I am going to call them tomorrow morning and let you guys know what I find out.
I also just bought this TV with the coupon! I also purchased the two year warranty but I only paid $70 for mine. I don't know why it cost $133 for you?
So far I am loving this TV!! The QAM tuner is great! Another plus is that this TV has two HDMI inputs! Wow!
