They have a deal for two 5lb jugs of MyoPro protein (chocolate) for $45.90. Plus, there's a free shipping code (FREEON), which saves $6.95. You get a free shaker bottle as well. No tax except for IL residents. Total came out to $45.90 for 10lbs. Beats any other protein deal I've seen on the forum yet.

This would probably taste better than the other brands though. I can't speak for this EAS Myopro but I can speak for EAS Myoplex and that is FAR better tasting than any of the other brands.

Well, I was comparing to Optimum Nutrition, which I haven't tried yet, but others speak highly of. It's $58.95 for 2x5lbs, so only a little more expensive per g or protein.
Anyone want to comment on the taste of ON? I've been using standard EAS from the grocery store, and it tastes fine to me, though it's $7/pound. I'll be placing an order soon for the ON probably.

Here's what the copy says: Each serving provides your body with 20 grams of muscle-building whey protein with only 2 grams of fat and 5 grams of carbohydrates.
Who's right? I suppose I'd trust the supliment facts, but who knows.

Thinking of getting this to gain some weight. What do the experts think? Any significant health effects, considering I don't exercise much (at all)?

ON tastes great, I've been drinking it for years.. My latest 5lb jug of Double Chocolate just arrived from Amazon today actually.
Best I can tell, MyoPro has been discontinued from the manufacturer for well over a year. Not sure what the shelf life of protein powder is, but FYI in any case.
I was going to order some more protein from allthewhey today, but their prices seem to have gone up considerably since last time I ordered, which has been a while (ordered 25 lbs at the time so that could be why!).

If its weight you want, dont bother with protein powders. Find something similar to a Whopper for a dollar deal, and wolf those down, 5-10 a day.
If its muscle mass you want, then get the protein powder, BUT, you must LIFT WEIGHTS for your muscles to get hurt and then rebuild themselves bigger with the protein you intake. Protein + no working out = protein-rich pee and manboobs.

1. It does not mix well - There are mad chunks no matter how hard I shake my shaker - Compared to other Whey proteins MyoPro lacks in Amino Acids (compare to Optimum Nutrition Whey) - Tastes ok the first week; then my pallet gets sickened by its blandness
Look Optimum Whey is by far the most widely accepted BEST whey protein shake I am not a company rep; I am a serious head. Those that go through the trouble of shaking and drinking whey will spend the extra $10 (I pay $32 SHIPPED for ON whey) for 5lb of whey
Just my two cents
GOOD price though (for sure!)

FYI one jug is only $23.95 so it's only a savings of $1/jug if you buy 2.
I've only tried EAS Max Milk (from a fitrx deal 2 months back), and the taste is just ok. It doesn't mix too well either unless you use a blender.
On the other hand, I just got ON whey from Vitacost and it mixes extremely well even with a spoon. Taste is great too (double rich chocolate). So, I'm sticking with ON whey.
Edit: Also wanted to mention to be careful of the expiration date when buying from fitrx. They were clearing out the EAS Max Milk for $5/2lb jug back in June, but the expiration is Aug 1, 07.

Why are you looking to gain weight if you're not planning on putting on muscle mass? Are you taking on the Tom Hanks role in Castaway 2?
rofl, yeah I probably wouldn't suggest going on protein shakes to gain weight if you don't plan on working out. Being that it is low in carbs though it probably wouldn't hurt you much with gaining fat so I guess it's better than a lot of stuff you could be eating. If you have trouble gaining weight then a heavy workout routine would help you a lot. Building muscle is one of the best ways to gain weight if you have a high metabolism.
As to how good this stuff is I can't say since I'm just getting started on the whole protein and amino acid kick myself but I have done some research and Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey is pretty much the best for protein drinks. 24 grams of Protein per serving, mixes pretty well, tastes pretty decent and comes in a lot of flavors, and it's high in major amino acids like Glutamine and BCAAs. I went with the natural chocolate that has no artificial sweeteners and stuff in it. It's all natural sugar.

For anyone who has issues with mixing the protein shakes, particularly with chunks, try a magic bullet. In general I'm pretty skeptical, and I'm not happy when my wife buys crap off of the tv, but occaisonally I'm pleasantly surprised.
The rotisserie oven and dehydrator by ronco, and the magic bullet so far have been the only ones I'm not pissed about. I was initially under the impression that the magic bullet was worthless, but I've been using it to make my shakes, and it's awesome for that. Makes one serving, drink from the mix cup, cleans up easily. If you have an opportunity to pick one up cheap (not the $50 I think my wife paid), jump on it, I believe you'll be happy.

Had TONS of $$ in my GC account at Amazon.. Never ordered from fitRX before - I used to order from 1fast400, but their prices for ON Whey had jumped up considerably since the last time I bought it.
OP need to change title shipping is only free for new customers.

Thanks for all the answers. I was actually thinking of getting the Gainer 900, and not the whey listed in the OP. It has 600 calories per serving and is specifically to help you gain weight. But I supposed a double cheese burger from McD has about as many calories and would be cheaper (don't know about tastier).
Went with 10lbs of Optimum Nutrition for $59 shipped with code. Double Rich Chocolate, and the Limited French Vanilla.
As for havin a high metabolism and gaining wait, trust me. Calories alone won't do the trick. I used ot not work out and could eat whatever I wanted. I eat at a college cafeteria, so for a typical lunch I'd have 2-3 chicken patty sanwhiches, a slice of pizza, a small plate of pasta, some various veggies, cookies, choclate cake, a small bowl of ice cream, and 3 glasses of milk. I got a little bit of a gut, but little weight gain, no joke.
I turned 28 this year and decided that I wanted to atleast get the body I wanted at 45 by the time I was 30.
Started working out, nothing crazy, 45 minutes of strength training 5 mornings a week, ride bike every once in a while. I also started eating lots of veggies and protein, cutting my fat, not counting carbs, and I've put on about 10lbs in a month and a half (195lbs, 6'5"). And I have more energy, a lot more, and feel better about my body image.
I sound like one of those lame commercials, and trust me, I'm the last person to get "into" working out, I hate it in fact, but I like the results. If you want to bulk up, start working out, and change your diet, not just eat more food/calories.

Damn, I give myself red for this haha. Just got it in the mail, and Irideatomics is right.
It does not mix well at all. I haven't tried putting it in a blender yet, but so far, this is the worse mixing powder I've seen yet. I might just return the other one and exchange it for some ON.
BUT, if you always blend your drinks, I think this would be fine. I just prefer to come home, shake for a few seconds and down my protein.
