Thanks for posting this. I was thinking of buying eneloops from Amazoon, but this is a better deal. Hope they stock them near me.

good deal these usually run for about $10 fora 4 pack of AA , these aren't the regular rechargables which lose all there charge in a couple of weeks after you charge them, you can store thse for up to a year while losing only about 20% of their charge. so you can charge and store these for whenever you need them
One of the best features of the Eneloops is their ability to output high current compared to some rechargables. This is great for fast refresh rates of high drain devices like camera flashes. These seem to easily keep up with Duracell 2650mah batteries I purchased. The total reserve isn't quite as high (as checked with a maha9000 charger), but the output is just as capable or even moreso than the Duracell (which is no slouch).
Eneloop's are very nice rechargeables. i noticed the other forum mentions not all costcos are involved.
The information I received suggested that this was a test with only a few Costco stores.
The actual stores that are supposed to be involved include:
Costco Durham, 1510 N. Pointe Dr, Durham, NC 27705 Costco Folsom, 1800 Cavitt Court, Folsom, CA 95630 Costco Burbank, 1051 Burbank Blvd, Burbank, CA 91506 Costco Cranberry, 1050 Cranberry Square Dr., Cranberry Township, PA 16066 Costco St. Louis Park, 5801 W. 16th St, St Louis Park, MN 55416 Costco Burlington, 1725 S. Burlington Blvd, Burlington, WA 98233 Costco Sonterra Park, 1201 N FM 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232 Costco Douglas County, 8686 Park Meadows Ctr Dr. Littleton, CO 80124
someone add b&m to the title. I'm not driving all the way to the store to find a deal on rechargeable batteries (whoop de doo thats saving energy!) Find me a better deal online.
The information I received suggested that this was a test with only a few Costco stores. Calling a few random Costco stores on the West coast shows that they are all expecting their shipments to arrive within the next 2-3 weeks. I think the "test" is over; they all showed the SKU number in their systems and gave me availability dates.

Find yourself a better deal online.
Thanks OP. Hopefully the batteries will be sold nationwide shortly - I'm definitely going to grab some.

Awesome, these batteries are great. They work much better than my 2650mAh duracells, which discharge to almost nothing in a week.
This might not work with the costco package, but there's a free battery tester (pdf link) with the purchase of an eneloop charger.

Oh man, at this price, it's alot cheaper to just buy a couple of this battery pack than buying individual batteries or even the 8pack AAs from Amazon.

I bought them. Been using them in my Canon A630 for a few weeks now and they're still working great. Didn't even charge them before I popped them in the camera. It's clear (IMO) that it's a rebranded Eneloop battery.

I don't know that it's "pretty clear" that they are rebranded eneloops unless you know something I haven't read. Please explain your info.
There are now two companies manufaturing slow discharge batteries. Sanyo is one (they developed the tech) I do not recall who the other is - but it was not Kodak.
It was a while back and I no longer recall on which site I read what since it was over three days of googling. Nor am I inclined to help the lazy beyond this.
It is possible that the Kodak's are rebranded eneloops just as easily as it could be the other company.
When reviewing how similar the low discharge were I recall one decent review that clearly showed the eneloops having about a 10% advantage over their low discharge 'cousin'. Given the similar prices I bought eneloops and have not regretted it at all.

Do the Kodak batteries have a little "HR" embossed on their negative side? If so, they are Sanyos.

is it ok to use these with the duracell 15 min charger?
I found this pack in the San Antonio Costco off 1604 (and 281).
It was located near the food section on the "endcap" with a ton of Duracell batteries. The Enerloops were not prominently displayed - in fact, there were only about 10-15 packages hidden behind some Duracell bulk packs. I didn't buy any then because I wasn't sure the price was right.

Fat little botch! Make sure to stop at the micky d's for their two for one special and then hit up your buddy's for your meth fix to keep in shape.
Thanks OP, Im driving my skinny butt all the way down to my costco. Im tired of charging my duracells and then two weks down the road they are dead.

no HR on the negative side
also target has a pack of 4 aa for 9.99 i think is energizer brand?
I could not find data on the Kodak pre-charged batteries.
However, the eneloops appear to have very good performance - see here. I quote: "we have about 93% of the initial Amp Hours after 30 days and about 91% of the initial Watt Hours for the same time period. At 90 days we have about 88% of the initial Amp Hours and about 85% of the initial Watt Hours. At 180 days we have about 86% of the initial Amp Hours and about 82% of the initial Watt Hours."
Pretty much the same. I buy at the local WalMart store. RAYOVAC HYBRID RECHARGEABLE Green top, blue body Rayovac on black. 2100 mAh AA 1.2v MFD. BY/FOR Spectrum Brands Inc. Madison, Wi. 53711 Made in China Link
Kodak's are NOT the same as Eneloops. Neither are Rayovac Hybrids. All three are a different animal. Buy them, compare the stampings on the ends, and you'll see.
Eneloops are worth the extra buck but if you can't find them, the Hybrids are a close second.

Rayovac hybrids suck. I own some and the first pack, the charge doesn't live. It's just like having regular nimh batteries. But it's to be expected for that brand. I got them FAR so I really don't mind (don't take this as a complaint, flame, or threadcrap).
Ok so back on topic. This is an excellent deal for an eneloop kit. I'm hoping they have it at my local costco, will have to pick one up. It'll be nice to finally have batteries that hold their charge, I own dozens of nimh.
