Its not a big camera at all. It fits on the palm of my hand, which is pretty surprising for having such a long lens.

This is a decent deal. I went with Amazon for one at $224.99 shipped and it included a 1GB SD card.

The replacement for the Z712 is due in September. It's the Z812. It has an improved LCD (230,000 pixels vs 115,000 on the Z712) and HD video. It is listed at 299.00 but will probably be more like 250.00 in stores.
