PQI is terrible. Actual speed is only a fraction of the advertised 60X.

Do you have any data to support this? I'd like to know as I have PQI media as well. It's listed at 150x, but does seem to drag when trying to take multiple pictures. Video is always fine, though. Thanks!

Do a search, there are lots of complaints about PQI SD cards in this forum.

Complaints don't always equal the facts. If there is some sort of timing study done on cards, then that's what I'd like to see. Much like this one which seems to be favorable to this card, although it's an older study.

I have some PQI stuff, and it seems to be okay. But this deal isn't. 2GB cards have been artificially sitting at around $20 for over 6 months. But right at the beginning of that, I used a coupon code deal (from Overstock) to knock one down to $8.xx

When these cards start hitting the $10 mark, that'll be a deal.

Much like this one which seems to be favorable to this card, although it's an older study.I got this very SD late last year from Fry's.

Writing a single 696M file took 7 min 30 sec. This translates to 10.3x = 1.55 M/sec = 696M / 450sec. For 56.2M, composed of 7906 files in 114 folders, the estimated write time was whopping 164 min.

In contrast, with the no-speed-bragged SimpleTech 1GB flash drive, get 52x for the 696M file, and 21 min for the 56.2M.

Told Fry's that this is a fraud and returned it.

(I have tested SD from OCZ, Lexar and SanDisk, and they all showed acceptable advertised speeds.)
