What would you be comparing Denny's to, Ihop or Waffle House, cause if you have ever eaten at a Waffle House you might be running to the nearest Denny you see. Seriously people, if there food is soo horrible to you, then why are you bothering to post? Just skip over it. I personally think, that while I have had better pasta dishes, Olive Garden is still nice, especially an all you can eat for this cheap. It is nice to be able to come home after work, grab family/S.O/whatever you may have and just go out to dinner instead of having to cook and clean up after. Ohh and if Olive Garden is so horrible, why are there still so many locations? Don't see Sizzlers anywhere do you? Obivously the American population can deal with some bland pasta. |

Well, here in NJ, Olive Garden is a chain, when we have lots of independent italian restaurants. It's just not seen as good in comparison. Like McDonalds vs a local independent burger joint. I remember when we lived in TX my co workers all though Chili's and Chi-chis were horrible, as they had plenty of "real" independent mexican restaurants to choose from. Sigh...and now it looks as though I have a gluten allergy and shouldn't be eating pasta anymore. <sniff>

Crystis said:I tried it once. They give you a full plate for the first type of pasta. But by the time you're done with the first plate, you'll be so full you won't have much room to try anything else. Luckily, I had a nice waitress who gave me a to-go box to box up my first pasta so I can order a second pasta. Definitely fills you up, but only good for big eaters. Fact: Women can't eat as much as men. Unless you're Sonya Thomas
Just kidding, that's not a fact... but it seems like it could be! That's why hungry guys always get giddy when they get to sit at a table with mostly women or elderly people - they know there's gonna be a lot more food to eat... bonus if they're young single women (just make sure you remember table etiquette) |

No White Castle's? Oh, that's right, they don't deliver... You could just get them at the grocery store in the frozen food section. Not the same... I know. |

And some of us are just "ignint hicks" that only have an Olive Garden in our area. There's no Macaroni Grill or Bucca de Beppo around here. |

Way to contribute something pertinent to this deal, troll.
But while we're on the subject, Carrabba's wipes the floor with any of the above mentioned Italian restaurants. You're all wrong. Maggiano's owns them all. End of discussion. |

Yummy salad with crunchy croutons. Bread sticks. 2 bowls of pasta. That's easily 200g of carbs. I don't eat that much in a week! And the next day I'd have to spend a few hours on the throne. Unfortunately not for me anymore. |

Just went last night, better than I expected. Have them mix the meat sauce and the 5 cheese sauce, pretty good. Also, if you get the meatball/sausage addition, you get 2 per plate. And they do allow you to take the leftovers home, so if you know you're full, you can order another plate and take it home! |

Many restaurants are better than Olive Garden. I don't think you need to be a cardiac surgeon to know that. However, most likely, none of those places are offering all you can eat pasta/breadsticks/salad. That is the deal... whether you would actually partake is another thing. If I could get a deal on a new Ford Mustang for $5000, I swear there would be people here complaining that BMWs are better and that they wouldn't spend $5 on that piece of junk. And for the record, I agree that BMWs are better cars, and that Maggiano's rules Olive Garden. Doesn't mean that it's not a hot deal. It is what it is. So for those who want to stuff your face with pasta with sauce with or without meatballs or sausage that may or may not be of the highest of quality, but still is extremely popular, saunter over to the OG. |

Their food normally tastes horrible. I can't eat their chicken, it tastes like rubber. But they do have great salads.
Thanks for the heads up, I'm going to go real soon!
You hate their food, so you only go when you can get a lot of it? Some people do take FW to extremes... |
