Brings back memories. All You Can Eat Crab Legs was the last time I went to Red Lobster.

my point is that institutionalized italian food is just that - institutionalized. if olive garden is the denny's of italian food, macaroni grill and bucca are the ruby tuesday and applebees of italian food.

I took advantage of this deal yesterday for dinner and right next to my table was a fairly obese person who can't say no. I left (only had 1, took home the second and MUCH smaller plate with chicken) and he was still going after 4 pasta plates (full sized). I love their breadsticks though.
Great service too. After I struggled to finish my first one, I got the next plate within 5 minutes.
As for getting fatter, I jog/run almost everyday. No problem getting rid of the carbs .

According to your taste buds, and hey...guess what, no one cares. Why do you feel the need to be an internet food critic? Does it make you feel important. Personally I think Applebees is the worst trash I have ever had, but you seem to think its good. Now if someone posted up a deal for Applebees, I wouldn't even iopen the htread, let alone make my grand post of (in Jay Sherman voice) "It stinks."

So my question to you is, what compels you so?

Olive Garden is crap. They must have a 55 gallon drum of sauce in the back room that they use for everything. The dining experience is right up there with Luby's.

Olive Garden Italian food is not that great imo coming from an Italian cooking home...but when you add the words "endless" or "unlimited" to Olive Garden (or anything), it is freaking good. We need more weddings that are buffet and endless....darn sit downs...

Careful of the Pizza Hut buffet! but for $6....
