spectrex said:Yeah, you can install office 2007 twice, but no more than that. I own a copy, and as long as you're the same user, you can install it at most on 2 different computers. Just for additional information, this is different than windows, in which you can only install windows on one computer. What about when you upgrade computers. Does MS allow you to convert the license to your new machine? |

I don't know about other universities but university of Minnesota has an agreement with Microsoft that allows each student to purchase Office 2007 and Windows Vista for ~$4 (yes, four dollars). You will have to sign in using your student account (X500). The $4 are for a CD you come to pick up. If you just download it, it's free (or at least was last year). |

not open office, two different things. yes msoffice and openoffice are two different things that do mostly the same thing but at very different prices. if openoffice does what you need to do then you have an opportunity for considerable savings vs. the other one. and openoffice is multi-platform and can be installed on multiple computers without additional cost. if you need the other one than you need the other one and that is a different story. |

OpenOffice would work fine for 99% of MSOffice users. But 75% of MSOffice users are more into brand loyalty and common-sense and saving money. |

eBay auction says it can be installed on 3 comps too Microsoft usually catches up to those guys and forces feebay to VERO the auction because they are breaking the licensing agreement by not verifying the buyer is a student. I know it happened to me a few months back |

In for one. I hope there's a way to get the media for it though. I'm thinking about wiping all of Acer's preinstalled apps on my new laptop and installing a fresh copy of Vista. Come to think of it, I need media for Vista... |

From the chart Office 2007 does not contain outlook? That doesn't make sense. |
