Now that the dust has settled and people have received their orders and had a chance to actually taste what they bought..... Was this a good deal or a waste of money??? Personally, mine will get tossed in the trash. I thought the stuff was nasty beyond belief and would be embarrassed to give it away on Halloween. I hope others enjoyed theirs better than my family enjoyed this purchase. You win some and you lose some. |

You win some and you lose some. I got my package monday... and personally i like the chopped and formed. Its more tender. My favorites are the hot slab, chopped and formed, the organic and cocktail peps. I ordered the original beefsteaks and the cheese/sausage sticks for halloween. I handed out the beefsteaks last year for halloween and my house was the most popular on the block, even the Dad's were asking for some jerky. Like you said however, we all have our different tastes. |

Thanks for this post as well. I didnt see it until after i ordered already from the lowreys post, but this is a good post too. I got some of the beefsteaks, ok well not some, ALOT. My uncle sells these at his dollar store; its a good way to get some product for a good price and sell it in the stores and make profit. Customers love the beefsteaks at his store. |

I ordered about 20lbs of the Pride of Oberto Peppered slabs in 1-lb bags a few months back (no, it wasn't all for me, there are a lot of meat eaters in my company, apparently), and they were great. Several of my colleagues are still asking me when the next beef jerky order would be. Too bad their BOGO free promo ended, otherwise I'd be ordering $75 of jerky every other month. |
