They do have some future releases available in the deal as well, including Guitar Hero 3 w/ the Les Paul guitar for only 59.99, which seems super HOT to me since i usually see the game/ guitar combo for over 100$
Link to Toys R Us Linky 1 Link to Guitar Hero PS3 Linky 2
It doesn't seem to be all video games but rather selected video games. There are some good titles in there though like Bioshock and Forza 2.

Aww I couldn't find any PS3 future release games that are part of this deal, what a drag. The newer games comming out which I would gladly pre order and pay for upfront do not have the 'buy 2 get 1 free' text underneath the name. Too bad =( I was really looking forward to getting Guitar Hero 3, Rockband, and some game for free. Thanks for the post tho I'm sure someone who didn't rush out and buy warhawk/heavenly sword/lair on impulse like I did will appreciate this greatly.
If you are looking for a Xbox 360 HD-DVD player, it is buy one, get one 50% off. $180 + $90 = $135 each. Not bad if you can sell one....
Actually, another option is getting the 120 Gig Harddrive, which is also $179.99. You could get the harddrive plus the HD-DVD player for $270. That is hard to beat...

I attempted to do it with different combinations but only the games listed as valid for the offer worked. Just a heads up.
I was just at store over lunch. They had signs for this stuff all over the video game section. (lombard, il)

Ordered Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08, Mario Strikers Charged and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for Nintendo Wii... Total $113.41 (including tax & shipping)... Nice deal, Thanks OP
Was it for all games in stock or selected ones only?
All in stock games, no pre orders.

I had the opposite experience - there were NO signs out indicating a sale. I had to ask the clerk about it (I had seen the sale online). She said yes; game accesories are buy 1 get one 50% off and games are buy 2 get one free.
Seems it would be smart to put signs up. Maybe that would move more merchandise...but what do I know...

TRU does this twice a year, although I seem to remember the fall promo being a little bit later than September usually. Could be why it's not yet being advertised in-store.

My guess on the earlier start would be to keep the Halo 3 madness out of the sale.
mogura said: anyone check out the store in time square NYC? seems like a good deal if its in the store...so i can save on shipping
I checked my local TRU in Queens, no luck, not that its Times square, but my experience is that great B&M YMMV deals dont make it anywhere near the city. I'd call them rather then waste a trip, then when they say no, just place your order online, lol
I'm going to give this a red, because alot of the PS3 games can be had for under $35 with free shipping on Amazon.
And that would be cheaper even than the buy 2 get 1 deal at TRU.

This is actually a store wide thing. I just got their paper in the mail and every page is buy 2 get 1 free. They're getting ready for the giraffe's birthday or something.

Are the points cards for VC games considered accessories?

That makes sense, because after all this is a deal only for those specific PS3 games. Now, if it were to include other PS3 games, and even games for other consoles, it might be worth some green. Good point, though, masty.
Seriously, nice deal, OP. Some good opportunities here for sure.
