I think there is 20% off Babies R us coupon floating. Toys R US allows the coupon from babies R US. I don't know if it can be used for this or not? I would jump on it since I recently purchased Wii.

We love it.
Where could I find this coupon?

Ok...then where is the better deal for two controllers? I personally have never seen a Wii controller for less than list price.
New remotes can be had on eBay for $30 after shipping if you keep checking the newly listed Buy It Now listings. Cheapest I saw was $27.
That said, I still think this is a hot deal, because it's the first I've seen anywhere of retail having Wii stuff discounted. If you just want to get some controllers from a retail place without worrying about eBay, this is the best deal right now.
Would have been nice if Wii Play was still available... looks like the resellers picked up everything...

I would get the wireless WaveBirds. That way the whole system is wireless, not just the Wii controllers. They work great and we actually play more GC games on our than Wii games.

Also, you can purchase the wireless GameCube controller from GameStop and it works just as well without any of the wires. You just connect the infrered reciever to the top of the Wii. HTH

You need to use the "Classic" controller, which means you can buy the Wii "Classic" controller or you can buy a Gamecube controller.
This is incorrect... Classic controllers can only be used for Virtual Console games. You will need a Gamecube controller to play Gamecube games. As a sidenote, Gamecube controllers can also be used to play Virtual Console games.
Like str82ebay, I would also recommend the Wavebird. They are hard to find retail now and selling at a premium on eBay, but I would check your local GameStop where they go for $17.99 used.

Before you jump into a wavebird, check out the new thrustmaster. Not out yet, will be soon.
Has anyone gotten this to work in store? My B&M had no idea what I was talking about. I didn't want to risk ringing anything up. Does it come off automatically?

Deal active at my TRU
For anyone considering buying 2 Wiimotes for $59.98+tax, try this instead:
Buy: Wii Play bundle x3 $99.98+tax total
Now you've got 3 Wiimotes and 3 copies of Wii Play. Now either
- Keep 1 copy to play (it's a fun collection) and trade the other two in to GameStop for $24 credit or - Trade all 3 in to GameStop for $39.60 credit
If you have a GameStop Edge card, or other games to trade in, you can get even more bonus credit. Or you can do craigslist, eBay, game trading site, etc.

Both available in my store, shelves fully stocked and no one seemed aware of the sale. Also a scratch-n-win game by the cash register gave 10% off purchase. Bought controllers for three families, games for two and Wii points for me.

Fontana, CA had the deals but there were no Wiimotes. They had plenty of WiiPlay with Remotes but rang up as $49.99 normal price.
What Risk? If it doesn't ring up right you say "I thought it was on sale I don't want it" You have a lot to learn young fatwalleter

Yup you just nailed yourself on the head. This would be a nice eBay ad on FW, "For every hot deal you found at Fatwallet, we can do better at eBay"

Worked for me in the store. It must have been in the computer system. Bought a nunchuck and 2000 point card for $31 including tax. Not bad.
This went out in an email from TRU yesterday, so it is official and is chain wide.
I don't know why people ever expect any retail worker in any store to ever know what is going on in their store.
There are two separate deals:
Buy 1 accessory, Get 1 50% off Buy 2 games, get 1 free
Wii Play is considered a game.
Items may ring up full price at first.
If it doesn't ring right ask the cashier to hit total.
Wii play (game only) sells for ~$15 on eBay, so if you bought 3 Wii Plays for $100 and ebayed the games you could get 3 Wiimotes for $55. That puts the 2 for $60 deal to shame.
It's amazing how stupid and lazy Fatwallet has collectively become in the last year.
Not dead. Just got back from my local B&M and there were still tons of wiimotes and nunchucks. Great game selection too. Sale runs through 7:00 pm tonight.

How does a $55 put a $60 to shame?
Your thinking like a lamer, who will never be successful in business. Firstly, chances of someone needing 3 of these are probably not all that great....so maybe someone picks up some as gifts. Who wants to be a lamer and give the will play box withouth the games? Second of all, how much is your time worth? Are you willing to list, pack, and ship 3 items to save $5....thats just $1.33 per item? And thats assuming you get the $15 a game after fees. I can think of other more profitable items to sell that will net me more than $1.33 each.

The poster was saying 3 for $55 is way better than 2 for $60. I just did this and got 2 wii plays with the remotes and another $49 for free(metroid). each wiimote being $33 - $15(that is after fees they are selling for about $18). Makes the wiimotes $18 each that makes 2 wiimotes $36. That is a savings of $24 not $1.33. TOo me that is worth it. Plus I got Metroid a $50 game for $33.

Unfortunately, the deal ended this past weekend; at least at the store I visited (San Mateo, CA).
