For those that signed up through City City with the $300 GC and $175 rebate offer... will switching plans invalidate the $175 rebate? Is the $14.99 plan exactly the same- i.e. free calls to certain countries, etc?

I signed up at CC for the same promo. I took my chances and jumped in and got the $14.99 rate and 2 free months. Hard to tell if it will affect the rebate or not.

wsu said:Can you please help me in setting the boxes in INdia. My cousin in INdia is currently trying to set it up in India on BSNL. He got the internet to work with the Vonage Motorola Device RT2142 but no dial tone in the phone.

I will appreciate the help. Thanks

Quality is great! Never needed CSRs for anything.

Check if he has plugged in the phone in the wrong line.

I certainly hope this is not a desperation move as we saw with Sunrocket. Their stock is now down to below $2 from $3 a couple months ago, and was just downgraded by another analyst. Wireline telcos are close to yearly Wall Street highs, while these guys still head south...

For those who have quality issue, log into your account and increase the bandwidth. Just a thought.

Just called in. First got runaround from CSR, but insisted on 'cancelling my service' so she transferred me over to account management. Told account management that my plan was too expensive for me since I don't use it as much anymore and he offered $14.99/month rorever and a free month. Asked him for two months free, and he said he'd need to get approval for it. He came back after 5 minutes on hold and said I had $50 credit (which is like 3 months at the new lower rate). Told him thank you and that he'd kept me as a customer (even though I never intended to really cancel, I'm sure it makes them feel better). Thanks to this forum!

Thanks all for posting this message.
I just callled them and told them that my friend was getting the same
PREMIUM UNLIMITED PLAN for a lower price and they immediately transferred me to
account management ( long wait 15mins on the phone ) but they immediately got the authorization
and gave me the 14.99$ price.
-------------
I just called them back to ask for the 2months free .
the CSR said she cannot give the 2 months free but said she can give me 1 month free and i took that.

thanks everyone.

Thanks for posting this! I called the number posted, said "cancel account", and told the account manager that I wanted to get the $14.99 retention plan. He happily set it up for me.

Much nicer than calling their tech. suport

Couldn't be better timing on this. My adapter broke down on Monday, now I have a legitimate reason to cancel... hopefully I can score a replacement adapter too.

Thanks OP!!! Nice find. Got IN first time itself.

once you call toll free: press 1 for english.
to go directly to Account Management CS press# 5
And then press 0 to talk to CSR.

Tell them stories from previous post and tell them that you wish to stay if you get the $14.99 promotion. I just spent 5 mins on the call and got money back from my this month's bill too {today was my billing date} for those who have billing period as today, dont forget to get your ~11$ back.

Enjoy!

I got on it too...$15 unlimited plan for 1 year, no free months though, CSR insisted that i call back after 1 year to see if i can get an extension or a better promotion...well, i signed up for Vonage just 50 days ago under CC deal...this plan makes the deal much much better!

I signed up with Vonage too with the CC deal...just wondering if doing this right now would nix my chances of receiving the $175 rebate seeing to get that rebate you had to be a new Vonage customer?
