Just got in 14.99 for 1 year.

Didn't have to tell them I was cancelling (didn't want to lie)
Just asked about the 14.99 unlimited plan and she said no problem!

5 minute call, CSR was friendly and helpful!

EXCELLENT DEAL OP!!! Much green!

I got on it too...$15 unlimited plan for 1 year, no free months though, CSR insisted that i call back after 1 year to see if i can get an extension or a better promotion...well, i signed up for Vonage just 50 days ago under CC deal...this plan makes the deal much much better!

I signed up with Vonage too with the CC deal...just wondering if doing this right now would nix my chances of receiving the $175 rebate seeing to get that rebate you had to be a new Vonage customer?

I don't think there was a restriction on the minimum monthly bill amount.

Called and was at first told there was no $14.99 Unlimited plan, I insisted and was offered $19.99 for unlimited, I told him to go ahead and cancel my account, he put me on hold for 2 min and came back and magically because I've been a long standing customer, I was offered the $14.99 unlimited plan for one year, not for life of the account, and no free months even though I asked. I may try to call back later and try for the life of the account and some free months, but hey I'm happy with saving $120 over the course of a year. Green OP!

You don't have to be on unlimited plan to get this offer. I was on $14.99 500 Minutes plan for about 9 month. Called after i saw this post, and I am on $14.99 unlimited plan now, forgot to ask if it is life time or 1 year though.

For me it is... just got through, currently talking to an account manager.

Here is how the conversation went -

CSR - "unfortunately we can only offer this to customers who are planning on canceling their accounts? Are you calling to cancel your account?"
Me - " no I am not, I didn't want to go through that route and just wanted to see if I could get the $14.99 plan"
CSR - "I cannot give you the plan unless I know from you that you called with the intention of canceling your account"
Me - "In that case I want to cancel my account LOL "
CSR - "Giggles.... Let me go ahead and change your plan to $14.99 basic unlimited package"

OP,

Your the best. I have a 24.99 plan for my personal number, and a $49 plan for my business number. I was able to get both plans switched to $14.99, and two free months on both plans. Kept the numbers as well, though I lost the 'free' fax number on the business account which I do not use anyway. My rough math says thats over $500 in savings over a year. Hottest deal ever (for me)!

I agree this is an awesome deal and I am overall a very happy Vonage customer, and happy I got in on the deal, but am I the only one here that thinks this is a signal that the end is near? I hope not, but it seems like a last ditch struggle to keep things going until the ship finally gets sunk by the Verizon torpedo.....

I agree - this seems to be a dying attempt before they go belly up. Good thing most of us did not pay upfront for 1 year/ 2 years ala Sunrocket. If anything, I will be ahead $400 from the CC deal if they go belly up.

you don't have to be a Vonage unlimited member to get this. i've had the 14.99/500 minute plan for 2 years. i called and said i was thinking of switching to a competitor (total b.s.) and he said well we can offer you the unlimited plan for 14.99 for the life of your service. sweet like cream cheese. took like 5 minutes to do it.

i've never had a problem with Vonage in terms of service. call quality is noticeably clearer as compared to standard service as well. bang for the buck indeed.

I've seen people get deals on XM and now Vonage. I am hesitant to get on these deals because I actually like the service and want the companies to survive.

I've been with Vonage for over 2 years w/ no issues. I hope this isn't a sign similar to SunRocket. My friend had advised me of the SunRocket deal and the next week they were out of business. I am glad I passed on that deal.

Now App-O-Rama and Free Money is a different thing altoghether.

Asked for some credit and was told... "NO!". )

OK. The CSR didn't have any clue of this deal. he talked to his supervisor and still no go...
Told him to put me to Acct. Mgmt. directly. Finally got 14.99 for one year with 2 months of free service though I insisted for 14.99 for life and 3 months...
