As a valued Best Buy customer, we want to inform you of an error that will appear in the September 23, 2007 Best BuyTM ad. On the front cover we mistakenly listed the price of the 50" Panasonic Plasma TV (TH_50PZ77U- 8501711) at $1709, after $90 savings. We intended to advertise the 42" Panasonic Plasma TV (TH-42PZ77U-8501757) at $1709, after $90 savings.
Best Buy will not be honoring this price on the aforementioned 50" Panasonic Plasma TV.
We apologize for any inconvenience, and we will offer a $100 Instant Rebate on all Plasma Televisions from Sunday, September 23, 2007 through Saturday, September 29, 2007. This Instant Rebate will be deducted from the price you see in the store, including our regular sale prices.
Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you in our store soon
Also just received same e-mail. Did you sign up just to tell us you received the same e-mail? I don't think we were all on the edge of our seats waiting to find out if you got the e-mail too.... |

Thank you for this post. I have called Sears and CC corporate Loss Prevention offices to advise them that the BB ad was in error and to pass it along to the appropriate persons within their companies. It is our duty to preserve honesty at FW, not spread deception. Wondering, if your real name must be either; Jay Leno or David Lettermen.Considering the joke, more likely it's David Leno or Jay Lettermen |

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you in our store soon To all of those that were speaking ill of me. Please read the above post that a fellow FWer received from BB corporate. I am grateful that I was able to provide support and help a company that employs so many decent people and provides great products to us a fair price. I would like to start a group, or a coalition of sorts to search for price mistakes and notify the retailers before they lose money and we all lose jobs to other countries. If you feel you would like to be part of something like this, please PM me. Thank you. |

Oh boy. Guilty conscience? I know your intentions are good, but I do not like being preached to. We are all guilty. I am not preaching, I am asking only if you are interested in protecting consumers and companies. It is your choice. Taking advantage of others mistakes is perhaps OK in sports but not in everyday life. I feel cleansed knowing I helped save a company tens of thousands of dollars. All of you should feel this way by helping as well. |

Maybe some jobs need to be outsourced, I'm thinking the person that is in-charge of proof reading and fact checking could be outsourced. I'd rather start a coalition that holds people accountable for their mistakes. |

Yeah, you got a laugh the 1st time, but seriously, you're killing the joke. I know you thought it was so cool to get that one laugh, but you need to realize when you start telling the same joke over and over to the same audience, you're just beating into the ground. This from the person who tells everyone to boycott Buy.com every on every Buy.com thread..... |

Want to explain why people of your views keep voting for dishonest and deceptive gay Republicans? I know, don't scream I went off subject, but really take the preaching and self-righteousness elsewhere. |

You have got to be kidding. So you don't think Best Buy will notice the ad and create notices of the pricing error? No wonder you're a new member.
Ha! New member No. New account yes. For CC 10% FTW link discount. You should think about doing the same because your rep is seriously gone to hell today with your pissy remarks.
With a comment like that you may actually be a noob...if you think shingletinkle's rep is ruined from his asinine remarks in THIS thread, you're sorely mistaken (check 90% of the Buy.com threads over the past 2-3 months for proof that his rep was shot long before these idiotic remarks). Amen, brother! I still question as to whether the Tinkle man has ever actually posted a DEAL. I only ever see him threadcrapping, encouraging people to boycott Buy.com, and making outrageous claims about which products are best(trust me, because I own it!) |
