Filters cost $24.95 before coupon.

copied from snowlion:
Thanks OP, I got 2 of them and coupon applied to each one so making each one $14.95 plus shipping of $4.95 ground. The shipping cost is same $4.95 no matter how many you order.
Also seems coupon of $10 applys to each item, no one coupon per order BS.

Limit of 5 with the discount per order.

Lexus owners can buy these too. I just bought some filters for the wife's Lexus 07 RX350, it uses the same filter as the 06 Camry.

no AMEX

Might want to note in the title that these are cabin filters.

I have an '04 Civic. Whats the cheapest place to get a regular cabin filter? Not trying to get off topic. Just trying to figure out if this deal is worth doing or not.

Also some report that these are stressful for home A/C units because of the air restriction. Think the same could be said for a car?

i got it last time from midas and it was like 28 bucks then this is pretty much half price for me.

If you get a funny smell when you turn on your AC that mostlikely means that you need a new filter (IMO).

Do we know what that "free car care kit" (OP's Title) contains? Could not see it anywhere while ordering?

EDIT: nm.. Its in the Picture on top!!

CSK sells them for $20 or so. I'm going to order a few for my car from 3M. As far as a filter such as this stressing the A/C system - you could always go OEM if you're more comfortable. Toyota charges $40 for a cabin air filter so after my original one needed replacing, I went elsewhere.

SleekWallet said:If you get a funny smell when you turn on your AC that mostlikely means that you need a new filter (IMO).That funny smell comes from mildew that is in the evaporator fin area, and the ducting next to it. The evap core is moist when running A/C. It's too cold immediately after stopping the car, but as it sits and gets warmer, the mildew blooms and puts out the putrid odor. Changing the cabin filter won't help this particular problem too much.

It used to be that only import cars had this issue. I noticed that domestics have also picked up the problem the last few years. (I rent cars a lot).

I wasn't planning to buy from the dealer. I was thinking one of the aftermarket brands were closer to $10. And they wouldn't be restrictive either (not saying the 3M is). But no need for OEM.

excellent, I'm in for 3. Autozone charges like 22 bucks for the Bosch for my Camry. Hopefully these are better than the Bosch, which are cheaper than buying at the Toyota stealership.

I've gotten into the habit of turning my A/C off and leaving the fan on to dry the system out - maybe a minute or two before I reach wherever I'm going. Works great and I don't have that gross smell.

Wish I had a newer car to take advantage of this deal.

Nice find OP! Autozone gets about $25 each for Bosch filters for my Element. Not due for replacement yet but I'll need them sometime.......Thanks!

Yea, I do the same, it solves the problem. It also helps to make sure the car is on "fresh" and not "recirc" at this point. But it is a hassle to do so, if it is 100 degrees outside.

I wish that the car mfgs would do that for me- run the fan for a couple of minutes after the car is turned off. Heck, there are similar systems already in place for the engine itself. VWs do this, you can hear the radiator fan kick on sometimes when the car is off and unattended.

If you order 2 filters, do they give you 2 car care kit? or just 1 car care kit per order?

According to the graphic on the top of the page, you get a free car care kit per filter. Hopefully, that's the case.

In for 1. Thanks OP.

Thanks OP, in for 2. Saves me a few bucks from what I've found recently.

If you turn on the heat & fan on high, it'll dry it out quicker, meaning you won't have to ride as long with the vent fresh air on/AC off. Just roll down the windows and if it's hot outside anyway, you wont tell much difference in the heat being on.
Also, Frigi Fresh cleans it out for awhile.
