I was at Costco looking for a set of tires yesterday and the guy working there said that starting Oct 8th, they'll have $60 off set of 4 on Michelin and $40 off set of 4 on BF Goodrich. Not sure if all styles of Michelin and BF Goodrich are included in the sale or not. Don't know the sale end date.

As in the past, most likely this sale will be available online also. Their price include free shipping, installation and balancing.

I saw this in the coupon book I got today.. said one coupon per household and "only original coupons will be accepted".

Additional books are always available from Customer Service and additional coupons are available in
the Tire Dept.

Do they ever have sales on TWO tires?

Ever known them to prorate the coupon?

What if someone buys four, installs two and returns two unused?

For my car Costco's prices are *literally* double the price of most other places --Make sure you shop around.

alphabetter said: For my car Costco's prices are *literally* double the price of most other places --Make sure you shop around. They are supposed to add a fixed percentage on wholesale price. That fixed percentage is small, like 6% or so.

Are you sure that the tires are identical? One time, I needed tires. On my car, the tires come from the factory with V speed rated Michelin MXV tires. It's a four banger sedan, so I'm not sure why V speed rated. Costco will only put on the same or better speed rating. So they were quoting me like $180 per tire.

Other places don't really care. So the other places were quoting the normal, "civilian" H-rated version of the Michelin MXV. This cut the price way down to $95. Same manufacturer, tire, model, treadwear, tread pattern. The ONLY difference was speed rating.

Is it possible that you're in the same boat?

my coupon from the mailer says:

valid 10/8 to 10/28
$60 off a set of 4 Michelin or a set of 4 select BF Goodrich Tires*

* available only on G-Force KDW, KDWS, Long Trail T/A, all Terrain T/A KO, Commercial T/A, Rugged Trail T/A, Mud T/A G-Force R1, G-Force Sport, G-Force T/A KD, G-Force T/A Drag Radial, Open Trail T/A, Krawler T/A and Baja T/A. Offer not valid on tires replaced as warranty adjustment.

I'm looking to get a set of cheap BF Goodrich tires: BFGoodrich® Premier® Touring P205/65R15 probably can't use the coupon, since "Premier Touring" isn't apart of the "select" tires. any ideas?

UPDATE: FYE-I checked with a costco tire center person - the BFGoodrich tires that quality are usually the "truck" tires. So the cheap ones don't qualify, such as the one I wanted to get.

Pro tip, for those interested:
Discount Tire is running their own $40 MIR offer right now on Michelins...

but if you tell them you want the Costco Match offer, they'll take $60 off INSTANTLY, on the spot.

True story. (They *may* take the MIR off too, but they shouldn't.)

Discount Tire MIR turnaround is close to 2-4 weeks, too. Add to that the $25 CarCareOne offer and you can be saving bunches.

Can someone kindly post scanned copies of both tire coupons?

Our local Town Fair Tire accepts competitors’ coupons and I would like to use these coupons there. Thank you.

They have this all the times like in June & Oct then Jan. Best way is to PM at Discount Tires or Sears to take advantage of rebates there. Make sure they PM w/ installation included.

What is the Best Tires for Camry LE?

depends where you live..

I was told before that BFgoodrich are as good quality as Michelin or also made by the same company, and they cost less

Use these surveys as your guide. It depends on your needs and driving condition to choose a proper tire category. For your car specifically, I'd recommend to search between "ultra high-performance all-season" and "passenger all-season." Good luck.

They are the same company, but they have different quality.

For what it's worth. When I was in college I worked at a Tire Distribution Warehouse. Michelin tires are by far the best tires made. This was evident in quality and all the way down to how the trucks were sent to the warehouse. The attention to detail was not even close by other manufacturers. Every employee that worked there had Michelins and recommended them over anything sold.

hm.. someone at SD wrote:

BFGoodrich® Traction T/A® V 205/65R15 All-Season Performance for $103.99 each
Add 4 to cart
BFGoodrich Traction T/A V 205/65R15: $93.99 each... = $375.96
Installation Package: $10 each... = $40
State Tire Fee New Jersey: $6
Disposal Fee: $4

Subtotal: $425.96
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
Tax: $29.40
Less Coupon($10 Off Per tire): ($40.00)
Order Total: $415.36

but on costco's website, the price is $121 per tire.

OP- can you add BF Goodrich to your title?

Edit:
ahh........ costco's website includes shipping charge to deliver to store??????????

so if store has it in stock, it's $94 each?

I just got the x-Radial on my Camry LE 97, the price on the website is the same as the warehouse at 83.99

I didn't check with discount tire on their price match to Costco...as this is the first time I bought tires, but what I found is the other place have additional costs (for example, Discount tire adds warranty certificate, disposal 2.50 vs Costco's 1.00). In the end, the 83.99x4 tires at costco with coupon (which is $69/tire) comes out less than the $51/tire ones from Discount.

Costco's price includes shipping, mounting and balancing. So if you are going to compare to other places you need to find out how much it will cost to ship (if applicable) and to mount & balance. Mounting and balancing $10-15 a tire, but around where I live it can be substantially more ($20-25 a tire).

Guys,

It's not just about the price at costco (which is very competitive). It's also about the service.

They offer:
Mounting
Lifetime balancing
Lifetime rotation
Lifetime flat repair
Lifetime air pressure checks
New rubber valve stem
Costco Wholesale's road hazard warranty
Nitrogen instead of regular air

I had a flat over the weekend. I took the tire to Costco (I had just purchased the tire 2 months ago) to see if they can repair it. They gave me a new tire for free (since it was unrepairable) and offered to install it for free as well.

Costco just doesn't offer good prices on products. They also offer peace of mind - with hassle free ownership of products with great customer service and terrific return policy!

You also will need to look at the after sale service. My local WheelWorks would take up to 4 hours to rotate the tires or repair a flat, so it was always a hassle to arrange a ride to drop the car off--or wait in their wonderful lobby. At Costco the car would be ready when I was done with my shopping and maybe getting a bite to eat. The convenience at Costco made tire maintenance a breeze, which caused the my tires to last the rated mileage(or more a few times).

The real savings occur if your tires don't get the warranteed mileage. All the tire shops will "adjust" for mileage worn against the mfctr warranty. The key savings is the lifetime mount & balance at Costco. That will save you $16-20 per tire when you get them adjusted.

Anyone know if this deal is still going on? I can't find the coupon

I am looking for any deal on tires as well....I guess I missed some last month!

If the rims are on a vehicle and a different size than what their computer says fits that vehicle - then NO. I have taken in loose rims and gotten desired tire mounted on it when the tire was in their stock.

I was in the Naperville, IL Costco yesterday and was advised by the tire tech. that there is another round of $60 instant rebate for a set of 4 Michellin tires by mid-January. The Michellin Hydroedge tires are also included in the rebate program. It may be worth waiting for the $60 rebate if your tires are not that badly worn.

Do I have to keep costco membership for life-time warranty service?
Anybody knows?

Thanks.

Anyone has a heads up on when will this deal be available again?

does somebody have the previous rebate form?

thanks

I don't understand how these are really good deals? My tires are 1000+. $60 is only 6% off.........

Give me your $60 then.

Just got a Set of 4 Michellin Tires X radial from SAMS
I needed 4 new tires for my 1997 Honda Civic LX. 185- 65 -14
Total price came to $251.00
The $60 discount from michellin was applied to the total amount. They had to order the tires which is fine with me. You will need your SAM membership in order to get it.

basic Membership is only $40 a year which is not too bad.

Anyway ...Just wanted to post since I reseach this tire for some time and everybody had it listed for $89 per tire.

Sams have it for $60 per tire

I am happy about it and can't wait to get the new tires install.
