I had the same problem with the serial number not getting accepted, before I even entered shipping address or anything. Then when I tried again, it said: Nintendo said: Wii Remote Jacket Accessory Offer
Our records indicate that your request for additional Wii Remote Jacket(s) has exceeded the maximum quantity allowed per Wii serial number.
If you feel that you have received this message in error, please wait 24 hours and try your request again.
If you've already waited 24 hours and are still receiving this message, please contact Nintendo's Consumer Service Department at replorders@noa.nintendo.com or at 1-866-431-8367. Representatives are available from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm, Pacific Time, seven days a week.
Click here to go to the Consumer Service home page, or Click here to go to Nintendo's home page.
I just called the number on the website, 1-866-431-8367. They told me it's a problem on their end and they're working to fix it. He said to wait a few days and try again, and if it doesn't work, to give a call back. Sounds like their site is getting hammered. |

I've also called the support number and CSR Jennifer got me signed up with an order number. I checked the order number online immediately right after I hung up the phone with her and the order has already showed up (shown as backordered). She did mention that the items will be shipped out after Oct 15. Good deal, thanks OP! |

Man, was my CSR the only one who didn't process the order right then? Lame. |

Boo, it didn't work with my Firefox, neither. It kept giving me the "exceeding..." error message. Then I changed to IE which produced the same result. Maybe I'll have better luck tomorrow |

mrredskin said:that's a pretty cool thing of them to do. even tho the things probably cost 5 cents to make, it's good to know they still appreciate all their customers. Perhaps, but I am willing to bet thousands of dollars were spent with designers, lawyers and the marketing department. I am very glad they are providing a free enhancement, but someone's bottom line was impacted and they did it for a reason. |

I tried firefox and got the error 404 with a blank screen. Then the exceeded limit message if I tried to resubmit. The CSR at the 800 number acknowledged their servers are down and to try again in a few days. He would not take an order on the telephone. Guess I try IE later this week. |

October 2, 2007 - Nintendo is taking quite the financial hit to make sure players don't drop their Wiimotes. Those free covers that we reported on earlier today are expected to cost the company over two billion yen (about $18 million), according to the online version of Japan's Asahi newspaper. Linky |

I tried to order as well and got an error message instead of a conf #. When I tried to put it through again - said that number of jackets for order exceeds serial # allotment. Called Nintendo - nice rep said that their site was slammed and to try again tomorrow to see if order went through- if not call them back. Hope this helps. |

I got the ole error message (404) after submit. Tried again and said I already ordered. I called the support # and they just said try again in a few days - they wouldn't order it for me over the phone. I have a feeling I'll be talking to them again, since my number is already in the system, but without any address. |

Nintendo has been pretty good about spreading the love amongst its Wii customers. This also will give them an idea of how many machines are in the wild; nothing brings registrations in like giving away free stuff. Got my 4! Thanks OP! |

I got the error message on the site and couldn't order from there. So I just ordered over the phone. If the site is really getting hammered, not many people are calling. I was on hold for all of maybe 2 seconds before I got a live person. |

The lady said there was a problem with the site and took my order over the phone. Great customer service! |
