Didn't see another posting for this in Hot Deals...
Went to Staples today and found that they were having a sale on SanDisk flash memory. Up to 50% off their normal prices. I picked up a 2GB microSD card for $16.xx. They had it on sale for $24.98. I had an OfficeMax coupon for $10 off $20. The manager on-duty said that they didn't take OfficeMax coupons b/c they are not direct competitors (no OfficeMax nearby). But she gave it to me anyway. Still she said they accept coupons from OD.
Last week a SanDisk Ultra II 4GB CF card was $49.99 on the site. On Saturday I rec'd in snail mail a $25 off $50 Staples coupon. I went to the store and they matched it. But I still needed to meet the $50 requirement so I had them charge me for the cheapest thing in the store, a single B&W copy for 7 cents. Walked out with the card for $27 after tax.

It's the first I heard people make a b&w copy as filler, genius, that's good to know
manager ones told me copy is only .06c.. next time just say 1 B&w coopy instead of buying a candy as filler .. mcdull said: overclock said: patelking said: why not buy a candy bar?...tastes better than paper...lolBecause candy bars were 99 cents! That's way too much for a candy bar.

Went to a local Staples (B&M) store last evening after reading this post - but to my surprise the San Disk cards in question rang up at full price of $54.xx. When i pointed the price listed in the link on Staples website, cashier simply said that web prices are different than store prices and she cant match those.....
Just wondering did people who bought it in store - did the price ring up at 29.xx or had to be overriden to match the web price?

What if I find a lower price at Staples? If you find a lower price in one of our stores, catalogs or on Staples.com®, we’ll gladly match the lower price. If an item is marked “clearance,” the clearance price is only valid for an in–stock product that is marked at that clearance price.
The 2GB Ultra II SD card is showing on sale for $34.98 then $10 instant coupon, so $24.98. Neither of these is 50% off, so I'm assuming it'd be 50% off $24.95?

yea, my bad. should've read "up to 50% off". op updated. if you found a coupon, then it would be $24.98 - $10 + tax. good luck.
i'm gonna have to decide to either waste a tree and save money or spend extra money to feed my hunger next time to meet the requirements of a coupon. good find on the 4GB CF card, overclock.

Doesn't the Staples site let you check availability in-store, or order online for in-store pickup?

Wouldve been a real ballsy move if you had them make a copy of the coupon you used to save for later
Grabbed the 2GB Micro SD card for $14.98 plus tax(using 10 off 20 OM coupon), great deal! Thanx OP!!!

The St@ples on Coleman in Santa Clara, CA refused the OM 10 off 20 coupon. He said he couldn't because the memory was already on sale. BOOO! The cashier girl at Campbell took it with out hesitating and she didn't even summon a manager. What's more, she scanned it, which surprised me since it's on OM coupon! Cool! Thank you OP.
