Fill out the $20 MAIL IN REBATE Located here: link
FRAM FPPA6690 Air Hog Panel Filte List Price: $37.46 Price: $17.04 & eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping on orders over $25. Details You Save: $20.42 (55%) Rebate: $20.00 Price After Rebate: $-2.96
Price varies by vehicle, most people on SD said no Honda/Toyota filters so don't b!tch. Filter for my car is over $30, but after the $20MIR it brings it down to the cost of a standard filter, so not a bad deal.
Enjoy.
Edit: Someone on SD also suggested your filter MAY be cheaper on rockauto.com YMMV on if so, and if the rebate flies with them. For me, it was more expensive on rockauto.com
It's been posted here some time ago. May have dropped into the archives by now. I think the rebate has been going on for several months. It was hot when it was first released, but I think everyone bought them then.
Edit: Yep, it's in the archives now here. Good to resurrect it now since it expires soon.
You're right, I didn't notice the LONG rebate period (Feb 1st-Dec 31st). I totally missed this the last time though...well that and I've changed cars a few times in the last several months Time for a new filter for the new car!
brushwood said: You are probably looking at the regular Fram filter, not the "airhog". That price looks like it is too low. Apparently rockauto has some on clearance at this price, and according to at least 1 SD post, they did get their rebate even at that price, I still say YMMV though, if you get it, great!

$6.59? My filter on Rock Auto is over $30...
are you sure you're looking at the Air Hog model? The standard Fram filters don't qualify for the rebate.
Yes I am sure the filter for $6.50 is a fram air hog (2003 pontiac grand am 2.2l) They show the filter for about $23.50 with full warrenty and some of the same filter as a wholesale closeout for $6.50
FRAM Part # PPA8221 {AirHog Flexible Panel} Choose: [Wholesaler Closeout -- 30 Day Warranty] ($6.50)[Regular Inventory -- Full Mfr. Warranty] ($23.89)

Go to RockAuto and lookup the part number, then search Amazon.

My order for 2 filters didn't qualify for free shipping. It stated that the filters were being sold by another retailer through Amazon and not by Amazon. Not sure if I should still jump on this deal for 1 filter + shipping. After the $20 mail-in rebate it will be $13+change.

Have you ever used a reusable filter before? I use them in both of my vehicles..the IDEAL setup is to have two of the filters because when you take one out to wash you have to let it thoroughly dry and then reoil it...this sometimes takes days and you don't want your automobile out of commision for that long so you rotate between the two filters...always having the other one ready when needed....also since both filters are FAR and it provides free shipping it just makes more sense to get two.

Did you send both $20 rebate submissions together or did you send them separately? If they have to be sent separately, then it sounds like it could be risky to order 2 together on the same receipt, since you would then only have 1 original receipt to submit.

Be interesting to see if they bother to answer you. No one seemed to feel the need to when I asked in middle of october and on november 26th. I filed them together..will post again when I get mine.

make sure you check your forums for issues with K&N washable filters killing your maf (mass air flow meter) if applicable. All it takes to kill a (audi/vw) 1.8T MAF is a little too much oil which is hard to judge.
Even modded to 20psi my audi a4 doesn't gain anything from using these filters. The risk doesn't justify zero gain in my case. It can take several hours depending on weather conditions (best in dry summer heat) to wash the oil off with the soap then let it dry before applying the oil.
the newest trend (probably why these are on sale) are the new oil-less design air filters which do not kill maf sensors. I'm sure fram sells them now; everyone is pushing them. honestly spending $8 every 5K miles (oil change interval) for a paper filter works just fine for me.
all i am saying is find out if the oil can kill your maf before going this route.
This offer ends 12/31 so get it now if you want it.
You can make money on some of the filters:
