The Insignia speakers (use to be available online only) are a good deal, even if they are not on sale (but of course a sale doesn't hurt). |

yager said:be careful to use Rz card. BB is trying to use it to track all you got from BB. Scary Yes, because its not like they could do a unique search for names from debit/credit cards in their system and do it that way. No sir... Oh wait... |

may the 2x reward zone on BB gift cards is not true. I am a Rewardzone MC member and I found this on the RZ website :; Earn Points For Best Buy Gift Card Purchases It's true. Starting on December 2, 2007, you will earn Reward Zone program points when you purchase a Best Buy Gift Card in any Best Buy U.S. retail store, BestBuy.com, BestBuyForBusiness.com or by calling 877-393-0963. Which means that soon, every time you buy a Gift Card, you'll get a little gift back for yourself. Reward Zone program, Reward Zone program MasterCard® and Best Buy For Business Reward Zone program members will earn 1 point for every $1 spent on Gift Card purchases in any Best Buy U.S. retail location, BestBuy.com, BestBuyForBusiness.com or by calling 877-393-0963. With our wide selection of denominations and graphic styles, you're certain to find a Gift Card for every person and every occasion. I had the same situation - you need to reregister for online access using your RZ number. I didn't lose any points, I just couldn't log on until I reregistered. |

Oh well, I already choose #1
So, could you buy a gift card and earn points on that gift card, then turn around and buy something with the gift card you just bought, effectively earning 2x points? They are changing it in mid-Dec, such that you only get points when you give BB money to buy the gift card, but when you trade a gift card for an item, you dont get any points. They probably have realized that the people who RECEIVE gift cards are likely the ones who are going to actually use the RZ certificates. The people who GIVE gift cards likely dont spend as much at BB and either wont make use of the RZ certificates or will use them to buy some junk that they wouldnt have bought without the RZ certificates, whcih is the hwole point of the program. |

I impulsively signed up for #2, without really considering everything. Now I discovered an Aunt I am visiting is probably going to by a $1000 washer/dryer tommorrow. I'm sure she is not a rz member but can certainly sign up tommorrow. Right now this is kind of confusing to me so can someone please help with some advice. I've got a lot of other things on my mind. What would be the best strategy for us? Go early and use my pre 11am bonus? Can she use my rz on her purchase? Or will she be able to enroll in rz and get a better bonus with option #1? What would the bonus be for each option, based on a $1000 purchase? Thanks very much in advance for any forthcoming advice. |

I had signed up for the #2 option of double points before 11am. Since I had a few RZ certificates, I decided to try to combine it with the coupon in this thread for triple points when you spend over $100 and use your reward zone certificates. When the cashier scanned my RZ card, the double points automatically came up on the screen as "valued customer." And when she scanned the triple points coupon, another "valued customer" line showed up on the screen before she even scanned the RZ certificates. So the coupon might work without the certificates, but YMMV on that one. I just checked my account, and right now I have points pending for my purchase, "triple pts entire pu", and "double pts pre-11am". I won't know for 30 days until I get my points, but it looks like it's going to go through. Does anyone know if they go through some kind of validation process with the points, or is the 30 day buffer just so you won't return things and keep the points? Anyway, I thought 5x the normal points you get was a pretty good deal. |

I chose the double points and bought an LCD TV for $999.99 plus tax and environmental fee. I got an email that same weekend for double points on all TV's $999 and up. Both promos showed in my account and this morning they generated certificates based on my 3000 points from that purchase. Not the 4000 points I had hoped for but not bad. I also now have pending my triple points from BF shopping but as advertised no double points for pre-11am shopping. Now to combine the $20 from before and the $60 from the TV and wait for another $10 to be generated. What to spend $90 on? |

I signed up for option # 1 and now I see "$15 bonus" showing up in my list of pending points. In the past, I thought it used to show you exactly how many pending points you have, but I don't seem to see that feature any more. |
