Really, I don't know what Kmart has that's better than Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.

One of my LEAST favorite stores now...

>Jay-Z - American Gangster CD $7.99<
>NOW 26 - Various Artists CD $7.99<

Well, not too bad on that, unless other stores does better.

I am not gonna get Now 26... Too many lame artists (Soulja boy)

This is pretty HOT if you prefer Magellan instead of the TomTom or Mio units...$20 cheaper than the other places listing it on BF:

Magellan Maestro 3100 Navigation System $129.99

Plus, add in the bonus of less competition and smaller human stampede at Kmart that morning!

I just realized that, and WOW King Kong Extended edition for just $3.99 ain't bad either.

Remember this is Thanksgiving not Black Friday ad, so they may have better deals coming.

This seems like the best 32" deal so far. Still waiting to hear on Microcenter though.

If you can get one of the 2 that each store will probably carry...

how do you know each store will carry only 2? what time does this sale begin anyways?

Kmart is infamous for never having any of their items "in stock." These special sale ads will assure that the item won't be in stock if you aren't a stocker (or stalker).

Hopefuly Kmart will have that 32" tv or ELSE... i am going to stop shopping there.

Kmart has cheap Martha Stewart stuff, that's what is better about them. Otherwise I agree.

I was kinda kidding...yeah, as others have said, Kmart doesnt stock many of their sale items....

Well, on Thursday, Kmart does have stuff cheaper that I may want, like the GPS (Although I am leaning towards Best Buy) and some CDs (Jay-z, now 26) I don't see cheaper elsewhere.

King Kong extended edition for only $3.99, too?

On Friday, NOT much!

it seems that they have quite a few of the items in stock for thanksgiving sales... i just talked to my local Kmart near minneapolis.. and the guy took out the BF sales ad and checked them on his computer and said they should have a quite a few of each item....he said between 5 - 10 for each limited supply items.

LOCAL Kmart REP TOLD ME THAT THERE WILL BE 10 WIIS AVALIABLE AT MY Kmart, FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. SHOULD I WAIT IN LINE WITH A ANOTHER PERSON AT 5AM TO BUY ONE FOR MY SON AND ANOTHER FOR eBay...I DO NEED TO GET A HOLD OF ONE SOON.. THE LOCAL EBgames STORE GETS A SHIPMENT IN RADOMLY EVERY WEEK APPARENTLY AND SOLD OUT BY AFTERNOON OF THE SAME DAY.. BIG eBay ITEM MAYBE

Better look for a new keyboard while your there, your CAPS lock is broken.

Wii stockpiling has been going on at my local K(rap)mart as well. The clerk told me that if she tried to sell one out of the back she'd be fired and the register would show a "street date" error. She said they'd be out for sure on Turkey day.

Will there a be a "CAPS LOCK" for sale?

Open at 7am today?!!!

I was surprised there was about 200 people waiting to get in my Kmart at about 6:20am. I decided my chances for a Wii at that point were nonexistant, and since there's no other reason to shop there I abandoned my effort.

There were about 100 people in line when I got there at 6:55am. The manager came out and said the line started at 2am and they only had 7 Wii's, 10 GPS's, and a limited quantity of the digital cameras. He was still passing out vouchers for the LCD TV, he said they had 30 of those. I went straight to sporting goods to pick up the raised queen airbed and they only had 2 of them, thankfully I was 1st there .

same thing happened here.

All retailers in Massachusetts are closed. State law. This state blows.

Same here was looking forward to getting a Wii! Ohh well will just wait untill after the holidays.

Local WalMart had about 8 Wii's yesterday

Just absolutely incredible that 1 year later, Nintendo still can't keep up with demand.

I am also shocked about that. I can understand last year the Wii for Xmas being in short supply, but a year after release?

Just picked up a 32" Olevia. Got to the store at 6:20, was bout 100 ppl on line. They had 22 Wii's, but they went to the first 22 ppl. My sister came with me to get a wii, so she was SOL. They must have had about 50 tv's.

I completely forgot about the camera. Should have picked that up too, but oh well.

Just got back from the sale. I found everything I wanted. (wasn't looking for tv or wii)

DVDs, kids rugs, circular saw, shoes, towels. All nice deals.

Bill

WOW Kmart is being smart, other stores should done this too... Really, it's like the Busiest I've EVER seen at Kmart!

funny. last year they had a line and said the same thing (can't remember what the item was). then when the doors opened, they gave everyone a ticket and then drew names. crap!

Kmart really surprised me and my fiance. We were the first in line, and each got a Wii, and 1 Magellan GPS. THey had 8 Wii, 44 of the 32" TV and 15 GPS. No tickets for GPS but tickets for the other two. All in all a fun experience.

Glad to hear the good reports about K-mart. My K-mart was packed at 8:30 AM (I showed up later, hoping to miss the crowd). I've never seen it so packed, except from the days when I was a little kid. In those days, an "average weekend" was more busy than this Turkey-day sale.

I went for the $40 digital photo frame. There was a gigantic line around the electronics counter, and I didn't want to wait in the line only to find out that they had run out of them. (This was genious of K-mart. They had only one employee serving people from the counter, and Kmart naturally assumed that people would browse the shelves and pick up impulse purchases while waiting.)

Turned out they didn't have any frames left, but the model in the glass case made me glad that I checked before standing in the line -- it was pretty low quality (even for $40).

It was sad. There was one lady at the electronics counter that burst into tears, crying loudly after being told that whatever item she wanted was 'not in stock'. I could only wonder how long she had waited in line for that news, or how much she had raised her hopes by seeing the advertisement.

It was also kind of funny watching people run around with their arms full of board games, dropping items from their arms as they frantically searched for what they thought were "deals." There was a large amount of kids there, which surprised me.

One guy almost knocked a dozen people over with his basket as he rushed through, searching like Golumb for his dream purchases. One employee looked like they were going to ask him to leave the store.

Another girl, probably about 400 pounds (I'm serious) was told by a skinny looking lady (probably her mom) told her, "Go stand in front of the TV before anyone else gets it, and if they ask you to move, tell them that it is your TV." Wow. I think that buying a TV was the least of their worries...they should be more concerned about the cost of type 2 diabetes.

I left with nothing, but left feeling somber by the culture of what I saw. It would surprise me if Kmart stays in business two more years. It just seems like the end of an era where Kmart (and Venture Stores) competed, and now it's left to Target and WalMart to duke it out. Perhaps in another 30-40 years, we'll see a whole new round of stores.
