Some reviews haven't been kind to this monitor and I really want a 24" LCD soon ..

All reviews I have seen so far for this monitor have been positive. For example, at Newegg 5/5 from 5 reviews.

response time is 8ms
I think I'll pass, but otherwise is a decent deal for 1920x1200 capable monitor for those who don't mind higher response time.
Thnx OP

Wait for BF OM's $249 SOYO 24" LCD

Thanks OP, very good deal, it has P-MVA panel, see here:

P-MVA Technology

And for those who does not know what TN, MVA, IPS, PVA, here is the link for your reference, pick the technology to your liking:

TN, MVA, PVA, IPS

If you are looking for a fast response time, then there is a trade off, you run into TN panel

You get green from me, wondering if this one has 92% color gamut

First off I am really particular about monitors in general. I bought the Dell 2405 and 2407 and was less than pleased with either. This Monitor however ROCKS! I have had one of these for the last 4 months. Does not have the input lag issues the Dells have thus is great for gaming.

All in all I would pay full price if I had to to replace this thing its just that good. The SOYO or Samsung are not the same they are TN displays and this is much clearer, nicer colors etc.

Correction: The Soyo is MVA which is the same as the LG posted in this thread, not TN. And for Samsung, depends on the model, if it is 245BW then it is TN, but if it is 245T or 244T then it is S-PVA

Ditto on the Soyo specs correction . Its definitly a P-MVA (AU Optronics) .

Does anyone know if Soyo 24" is HDCP?

Unfortunately no . But from my experiance with this lcd and Vista x64 , there has been no problems with HDCP content (ymmv).

I've had one for a month or so and it's light years ahead of the craptastic 22 inch sceptre that I had.
Thank goodness costco took it back when the inputs started failing.

The colors look great to me, and I'm liking the input options.
Waiting for a dual hdtv tuner card or box to plug into the hdmi though, as the 650 usb has only 1 hdtv tuner....

This is a great monitor. I bought it on sale from Bestbuy for $485 after tax.

Got mine on sale to. Could not be happier. 465.00 after tax.
