Even if you arent an AAA member I think there is a way posted on here somewhere about how to get the discount. I just got the AAA one off eBay for $.99, there is a ton more...saved me $47.59 but I could not get it to work with fat cash |

actually op posted 232t...Kmart is selling 232v
Thanks. Do you know what the difference between the two models are?
The Kmart one is better looking at the Newegg specs. The V version allows 1080i but the T only goes up to 720p. Both versions have the same resolution though.
I am shocked that an ancient member would post such a stupid comment.
The 2 TVs are virtually dientical except for physical looks/speakers. The 232T also has in home warranty service while the 232V does not.
Both TVs are 1366X768 and use the same guts, the menus may be different but the rest isn't and they both accept or display the same things.
Can I say again how incredibly aggrevating it is that people keep labelling TVs by what they think it can accept for inputs versus what it can actualyl display? It leads to people making comments like the above because they don't really understand things. By the by, what sense would it make to use a 1080i signal anyways if the TV only has 768 pixels? Even if it downsamples it you're only gaining 48 pixels worth of info.
Dude, be nice. Yeah yeah.... I'm just so tired of the 1080i/720p thing. People just don't put any thought in anymore and just read off whatever crap a website spouts without doing any researhc into the meaning of what they're posting. |

The 232V has a one year CARRY-IN or MAIL BACK Warranty. There's also the placement of the speakers. 232T's are under the screen. 232V's are on the sides of the screen. They both have built-in tuners, and I believe the rest is the same as well. |

I got the 532H through the Microcenter BF deal last year. The TV has been working great. But there is one issue I have with the HDMI input. I have to connected to my media pc via a HDMI-DVI cable and some colored vertical lines appear as a shade of gray rather than being colored. For example, the background of the WinXP task manager system load graph is a green grid. For some window locations the vertical lines of the grid is gray. If I move the window over one pixel the lines turn green. The VGA input does not have this problem. The other annoying thing is that it does not have any way of showing signal strength except while scanning for channels. This makes is hard to aim an antenna. |

Or is this just a general "watch out for these issues I've had with my same brand, different version TV" post? |

You're right in that I didn't give much time for my post. What I was trying to say is that the LCDs have the same resolution and should be the same despite what the spec sheets say. I just said it backwards. This is my official apology, now let's all get back to what's important. |

I have a 37" Olevia for over a year now. One of the best purchase I ever made! Excellent quality at unbeatable price. I highly recommend Olevia. |

I've also used the 32" (V version) for a while but my ex-roommates have it now. It's an amazing TV and I wouldn't hesitate to get another. |

I picked up on this deal last year....If any of you are thinking about doing it, it's a GREAT TV. My only gripes are that the Remote is terrible, the menu system is a joke, and it takes FOREVER to switch between components. Yes, it does only have a few inputs, but a quick $20 purchase at Radio Shack for a splitter will solve this problem (or if you're a high roller, you can simply purchase a receiver that converts every input signal into a single HDMI out). |

There actually may be another different but I can't find any info on it. The higher sized models use a MTK processor and Olevia has been known in the past to use difference processors on same sized models. The Ati processor is generally considered inferior to the MTK one. |

Do you have a link to the Door Buster / BF ad for Kmart that was referenced? I found one but I don't see the Olevia listed in it... http://downloads.bfads.net/BFAds-Kmart.pdf Thanks for your assistance. |

try the aaa again. i did it yesterday and it worked fine. and for those people considering the k-mart price, remember that (in most cases) you have to add sales tax. once that's done, the difference b/ the two is around $12, hardly worth the BF friday hassles. |

thanks! They should both according to the list at AVSforum.com. How useful having 1:1 mapping on something 32" and 1366X768 would be is up to you (a 17" 1280X1024 lcd monitor actually has more pixels). Something to be careful of also is which INPUT you are asking about and that you're asking about both resolution and the 1:1. A TV may do 1:1 on one input and not another. Additionally, they may not support the same resolution on all inputs. i.e. a Toshiba 1080p 42" LCD I was looking at did 1:1 1920X1080 over the HDMI connection but only went as high as 1024X768 on the PC Connection. Now the TV may have done 1:1 pixel mapping on the PC Connection but what good is a 1024X768 box in the middle of a much bigger screen ? |

This is a great TV. I have had mine for over a year (232v @ $560). Only drawback is the slow-response of the remote and lack of universal remote codes for this TV. |

Only drawback is the slow-response of the remote and lack of universal remote codes for this TV. Solution: Get a JP1 capable remote and a cable. Do a google search. You can either make or download universal remote codes for any device if you have the original remote. More flexible than the Harmony's of the world although most JP1 capable remotes aren't that flashy. |
