Not sure if link will work but on page 10 for me, use the magnifier and it shows 39.99 and a $10 gift card. there is a ** next to it and it states that the Gift card must be used for future purchases.

If they are anything like my cc.. You can buy it online order for instore.. and they have that 24min guarantee.. I've yet to be to mine they din't get it wrong and paid me with a gift card for missing the guarantee. you'd end up with game for much less if it worked. YMMV but the guarantee is on their page.
I should mention.. you'd still have to spend the money there.. but you'd get almost another game's worth of GC's.

As posted on another Hot Deal thread, CC also has CoD4 PC for $39.99 this week. Buy Crysis and then use the $10 GC to get CoD4 for $30.

Not what the ad states, and not what I'll be paying.
Yeah welcome to Circuit City. They did this with the Orange Box, the ad stated the ship date as the available date. They didn't have them in until the next day.
back from CC with a copy of regular edition, confirmed $39.99 + tax, and a $10 gift card. Manager said it's a price error but he hornored it.
It supposed to be $49.99 with $10 gift card for regular edition, and $49.99 no gift card for collector's edition(save $10).

Didn't work at the W. Little Rock CC - manager said the price was $49.99 with a $10 GC despite what the ad said. I asked why the regular edition and the special edition was priced the same. He said he wasn't going to discuss it AT ALL - take it or leave it. He was quite abrupt & quite rude, actually.
Ended up going to Best Buy and had them PM the $39.99 price which they did no questions asked. Didn't get a GC but better than dealing with the ppl at CC.
Also - CC didn't have it on the shelf when I got there - had to ask and wait for about 15 minutes while they checked inventory, etc. In fact, the game wasn't even in their system initially.

What a jerk. The freakin' ads says $39.99, which is a reasonable sales price. It's not like they printed $3.99 or something.
Yep, it's a pricing error. They wanted to charge me $49.99 for the gift card and non-collector game. I was able to get it adjusted to 39.99. The printed ad is clear, $39.99 WITH a $10 gift card.
I went to Circuit Shitty and got the same argument that the price is $39.99 if you buy a $10 GC. After about 10 minutes of arguing I just said forget it and left. I'll wait for a fair price after the holidays or perhaps during BF.
I guess I better head to CC asap before they post the disclaimer on the front door that the ad is wrong.

Yeah, I went this afternoon to CC because they just got the game in. As soon as I pointed out the ad the manager started asking some employees if they had received a price error notice.

Umm, that is correct. The price is $39.99 if you buy the game WITH a $10.00 GC. Just did it myself. They had to re-ring the game at $29.99, then add the $10 GC. Of course, it took them like 20 minutes to figure that out.
Oddly enough, they first brought the special edition out, and it too showed valid for the $10 GC (but when it was added bumped the price to $59.99).
Even more strange, that price only showed up if they scanned it. If they manually input the UPC, it rang up as $59 just for the game alone. LOL!
I do concur however that it will be a limited amount of time before they state it is a price mistake, although I don't really see why- Frys is selling it for $39.99 tomorrow; the main reason I went to CC was to get it today.

I didn't see it on the floor, and then I was told it was coming out on Friday (the 16th).

Yeah I just picked up a copy today. It was a great deal for $39 and $10 gift card.
They didn't have it on the floor, I went to customer service where a clerk went to the back and found it in a sealed box. She tried to ring it up but it would come up as full price plus the ten dollar gift card. She called out the floor manager who then preceded to argue with me for at least twenty minutes that the circular meant that the game would be reduced to $39.99 plus a ten dollar gift card that had to be paid for. I must admit I got pretty heated.
I held my ground until he called out the store manager. The store manager looked at it, went to the back with the game box and the circular than came out about 5 minutes later, telling the floor manager to give it to me. The floor manager was pissed as he rang it up for $39.99 with the free ten dollar gift card. You could see the steam coming out of his ears!
I took the gift card and went to the game section and tried to buy COD4 pc version. For whatever reason that game was not showing up correctly on their inventory listing so that took another ten to fifteen minutes to fix. Finally walked out with COD4 for $29.99 (having used the gift card) plus Crysis foor $39.99 (and the gift card used for COD4.
Took about 15 minutes for them to ring me up at $39 plus $10 gift card. They had the game still in a box behind the returns department at the Carmel, IN store at 5PM today. Then it took a manager several tries to get it to ring up right. I feel sorry for people buying it who don't know about the special price as without fighting for it you may not get it.

You forgot to add the price of a $2000 machine to play this game.

Just hit the Carmel Mountain (San Diego) store around 4PM. They had to open the shipping box and check them in to inventory.
Rang up at $49.99 but I showed the cashier the ad and he changed it to $39.99 + free $10 gift card, no questions asked. CoD4 was also at the front desk which I proceeded to buy and use the GC on.
I also noticed that they had a stack of $15 off $100 coupon at every checkstand. Good for purchases between 11/29 and 12/15.
I didn't get a chance to read Fatwallet at lunch today so I had no idea of the problems people were having getting the advertised price. I went to CC tonight and saw the boxes had the $49.99 price and no sale sign anywhere to be seen. I inquired with the roving manager and he wasn't aware of any sale. When I showed the ad, he went and checked on the computer and experienced the same thing others have reported that it doesn't report the sale price and manually keying the UPC doesn't give the gift-card. It didn't sound promising for me to get the discount and the gift-card but luckily he inquired with someone at the main checkout counter and they already knew how to correctly enter it for $39.99 + $10 card. Total price on receipt shows $29.99 for game plus one $10.00 gift card purchase. It didn't take very long to check out once I found that clerk. I finished paying and then remembered I had also wanted the Shrek 3 dvd, so I had the gift card for all of about 30 seconds before redeeming it towards the dvd. Final cost after tax, $47.68 for Crysis + Shrek 3.
So - I go into best buy today and grab the "Special Edition" Crysis - which is usually $59 - and I walk up to the checkout, flirt a bit with the chick and she says 'oh, which one do I pricematch?" I point to the Crysis box picture, and she says "oh the one for $39 w/$10 gift card at Circuit City! - WOW great deal!"
the chick rings me up for $39, and gives me a $10 gift card... I got the $59 version for $29

Man, what a pain.. The sales person on the floor did not know anyting about the game. Went to the front counter and they had it in a box. He had to rig it up 3 times to get it to $29.99 +$10 gift card.
But he sold me the special edition. I think the ad confused him as the ad says collectors edition. I even suggested there were 2 versions. I guess he did not listen and I was not about to correct him. I also got the preorder poster too.

Has anyone else noticed that Circuit City has had a lot of "Price Mistakes" in their flyer's recently?

Same story here - they didn't have the game out, but the first CSR that I talked with knew they were in the back. He brought one out and it rang up at $49.99 (regular edition). I told him about the ad, so after looking at it he tried to ring it up but couldn't. We went to the Customer Service counter, and the bored looking CSR did the override and I got the game for $42 after tax plus my $10GC.
Well, here's my experience. I went to CC shorty after they opened today and found Crysis on the shelf. I picked up a copy, and with the flyer in hand, went to the checkout. I showed the clerk the advertisement, and said I'd like to get this deal, it says Crysis for $39.99 and a $10 Gift Card. He said sure, it looks like you just get a free gift card with purchase. He scanned Crysis, and it came up at $39.99 in their system. Then he scanned a gift card and put $10 on it. Sure enough, the total came to $39.99 + $10 gift card = $49.99. He couldn't figure it out, so he asked me if there were any other copies of Crysis on the shelf. I said yeah, the special edition. So he scanned that, and it came up at $59.99, not the $49.99 the ad says. Totally confused, he took me up to the service desk, where he and 5 other people all talked about it. They couldn't understand why the ad made it appear the card was free (they all interpreted it to mean that without my help), yet the system was charging for it. They also couldn't figure out why the special edition was scanning at $59.99 instead of $49.99. They then thought Crysis was supposed to be $49.99, and the $10 gift card made it "$39.99", but that didn't explain why it rang at $39.99 to start with. They all gave up and reduced the price to $29.99 for me, and rang the $10 gift card. It took me 25 minutes, but I got the deal they advertised. What a pain in the arse.
The initial cashier insisted it was $49.99, so I asked to talk to the manager. When he didn't show up after about 10 minutes a better cashier asked what was up. I showed her the ad, and she said it meant $39.99 after you take off the value of the gift card. I just kept saying that isn't what the ad says, the ad doesn't say $39.99 if you buy a $10 gift card, etc. She then overrode it to $29.99 + the $10 gift card.
I don't know what they are thinking with that ad, it does not say anything about buying the gift card.
