I have seen various threads at times on pure cane sugar soda. I personally have not seen this at my local Costco prior to today, but it is possible I missed it. If someone already posted, I missed it in my search.

It`s coca cola 24 12oz bottles for $17.99

My Costco was in Sacramento, the Elk Grove / South sac store.

Which Costco?

Thx for the red, honest mistake.

I put it in my original post now.

12 oz bottles?

yes

Did the price go down? I saw $2x.xx price tag two weeks ago.

Good deal!

I guess it did go down, just rechecked my receipt and its $17.95

Buy the sodas during Passover. They are marked
kosher for passover". They have the cane sugar and are sale priced everywhere.

Nope it's always been this price. For several months and probably a few dozen Fatwallet threads ago.

are these plastic or glass bottles?

glass bottles.

is this even available on the east coast (NJ)?

I saw these at the Garden grove, CA store.

there is not too much of a difference between cane sugar, and HFCS

cane sugar is 50/50 glucose to fructose

HFCS is 45% glucose 55% fructose

minus a small bond in the sucrose, and a 5% difference, they are nearly identical, especially in their ability to cause insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome.

Depends where you are. I have never seen kosher sodas, ever. And I have looked. HFCS is an enemy of mine.

That said, it tastes noticeably different (cane sugar vs HFCS)

Picked up a couple cases today at the Fremont, CA Costco. Thanks OP

I've never seen this at the Boston area Costcos. I always assumed it was a midwest/west coast specific item. If anyone sees or has seen it anywhere else an update by PM would be greatly appreciated.

It's a Jewish thing - you wouldn't understand!

costco needs to have every sign in spanish

If it's bottled in Mexico you better wash the bottle top off before you drink from it

Entirely true. Cane sugar may impart a different taste, but it's hardly any better from a health perspective.

The first detailed genetic comparison between humans and chimpanzees shows that 96 per cent of the DNA sequence is identical in the two species.

Small matters!

how is 20 bucks a hot deal for some cola!?!??!?!?!?

Ever since your duly elected federal government decided (via import fees) to simultaneously support the US domestic sugar market while simultaneously creating a brand new market for ADM to exploit.

Cane sugar cola has a noticably different taste, which I prefer. But other than as a rare treat, the corn syrup version is ok for me 99% of the time.

Where do you live? You are probably just not looking in the right places.
Remember that the Passover sodas are only available for sale around Passover time (March-April) but are indeed much cheaper than this Costco "deal"

superior, co has these, not sure if it's for this price tho.

so what does that make it each bottle wroth?

fvfquaker said: If it's bottled in Mexico you better wash the bottle top off before you drink from it

All you have to do is to add some Havana Club - do not worry about washing the top - just came back from Mexico and it works very well!

If you like cane sugar, Jones Soda is cane and has been 3 12packs for $10 for a while at Albertsons and often at Shopko. Not Coke but if you like cane it has it.

Oligopoly, Non-price competition.

It is still a useless drink.

Say no to Pop...Say Yes to Orange Juice.........

I live in Indiana. What are the right places? I have looked at basically everywhere that sells soda I can think of. Yes, I know when passover is.

Man, for that price, you might as well get a case or two of Dublin Dr Pepper if you prefer Dr Pepper over Coke.

The other posts are right though that the best way/time to get this stuff is during Passover in a predominately Jewish neighborhood.

I agree, how is this hot - please explain what I am missing. Here in NJ, I can go to any local Gas Station and pick up 2 12 packs of Coke for $5. On sale, I can get 5 - 12 packs for $10 at most Grocery Stores. This week at ShopRite they have (4) 12 Packs for $10 and you get I think 4 free 2 liter bottles.

fiesta grocery store sell Jarritos, a real mexican treat

If the Coke you're getting at the gas station is made with real sugar, then you've found a better deal. Or maybe you've just found 25 year old Coke.

For me, the Coke made from sugar sells for 1.79 per bottle at my local Kroger. By comparison, the Costco deal is smoking hot.
