What does it matter whether it's cane sugar or fructose sugar? Just sounds like a way to make more money for no reason to me. MC |

These are IIRC in glass 12oz bottles. Some prefer glass taste to aluminum, same thing with Beer. Tastes different in glass than alluminum. |

I've had coke/pepsi made with cane sugar in asia. It does taste noticeably better. But i'm not sure that it is worth 3 times the cost of hfcs coke. |

I have never seen kosher sodas, ever. And I have looked. HFCS is an enemy of mine. Where do you live? You are probably just not looking in the right places. Remember that the Passover sodas are only available for sale around Passover time (March-April) but are indeed much cheaper than this Costco "deal"
Sold Mostly on the east coast.. In predominantly jewish neighborhoods, like all over NYC. Also sold in the Midwest, Mountain region and the West coast. "Sold mostly on the East coast" is the most ridiculous thing I have heard in a while. I have found it while stationed in Dayton, OH, Muncie, IN, OKC, OK, LasVegas, LA and almost everywhere else I happened to be around Passover. You just need to get out and visit the local grocery stores or better yet make a request at any large grocery chain and they will get it for you. |

My body is unable to process HFCS properly. It treats it as a fat and stores it in my blood and body. As a result my triglycerides were way out of whack. Since removing HFCS from my diet, my triglycerides are within normal range and I've lost a few inches around my waste. I've only been able to drink passover coke over the past few years and have always stocked up in March on the 2 liter plastic bottles with the yellow caps. The 12 ounce bottles is a score at $17. Hopefully the Costco in Atlanta has it in stock. Other sodas I've found made with cane sugar are Boleans (Whole Market) and Virgils Root Beer (Trader Joes). Both are well over $1 per bottle. Big Green for you, moderator! Thanks. I love Coke |

Got it at Costco in Phoenix, AZ. Pretty common here due to large Mexican population, but usually more expensive than the costco deal. Often up to $2 a bottle. Warning, once you've had "real" coke is hard to go back. Rob |

If you guys don't think there is any difference between cane sugar and HFCS you're crazy. Your body metabolizes HFCS much more easily into fat. One of the reasons people are more overweight these days was the switch many years ago from cane sugar to HFCS to save money. |

Doesn't really matter, but I posted this a couple months back: Locked Thread Just like this time, idiots took over the thread as it turned into a Mexican/Jewish hate-fest. Grow up people -- this is a good deal on real-sugar-Coke. Don't like it, move along. Don't mind HFCS-Coke? Good for you. I personally prefer real sugar stuff and this is the best local deal for me, by far. (And I still have never seen Passover Coke -- Jones Soda's Holiday Turkey & Gravy Soda, yes... Passover Coke, no.) |

FYI, I stumbled across this yesterday at Costco in Federal Way, WA. Personally, I find that the taste of sugar-Coke is less like battery acid than the "normal" stuff. |

The sweeteners used in soda during Passover are not kosher for Passover. All the big soda makers, Coke, Pepsi etc. use cane sugar during this time. The bottle caps are different colors and there is a kosher for passover somewhere on the bottle, cap or carton. You may not notice it but it is there. They are kosher all the time (there is a symbol there) but they have to use the cane sugar during Passover. |

You are shame to FW community. A true FW will drive 30 minutes and pick up many cases (not just one case) and sell it on craigslist or eBay. I wish I live 30 minutes from Tijuana. There are plenty of things to get there beside coke shootthemoon said:Hmm, I just drive 30 minutes south into Tijuana and pick up a case of these cokes for a few bucks. As discussed in similar FW threads earlier this latest pure case sugar Coke imported from Mexico and sold through Costco is not really 100% cane sugar despite Costco's deceptive advertising otherwise. It is about 10% cane and the other 90% is beet sugars. There IS a difference between this and true 100% cane sugar Coke still sold outside the US . For those that don’t like to take their chance with Mexican cola, or those not willing to wait once a year for Passover, or for those who hate the disgusting taste of that Jones Soda pure cane crap there are still many US independent bottlers that produce true pure cane versions of your favorite childhood soda products. Most also now sell online. Here is a great resource by state of US bottlers still producing soda made and bottled the old fashioned way. |
