Just a heads up... I saw that in the store and the chest is a piece of junk. And I'm just comparing it to my basic sub-$200 Sears tool chest.

For the price, it's not horrible, but most people who would actually use a tool chest wouldn't find a use for this...

I purchased one from the store its fine for a garage. For $100 it is a good deal

Was thinking about getting one but according to reviews on that link, it looks like it is around $100 pretty often, although it is $10 cheaper now. Also, they said that it appears to get beat up during shipping and isn't packed well, they recommend you buy it in store or at least get it shipped there and inspect it there since the box weighs 60 pounds and would be difficult to return. I'm not threadcrapping, just giving some info if anybody else is thinking about buying it. I myself am still on the fence about this one.

Kmart has this for a doorbuster on Black Friday for 80 dollars...it has a nostalgia Craftsmen emblem on it. Picked up one of these a few days ago during the F and F sale Sears had for 80 bucks. This is a great deal (even at 90 dollars) for this chest BUT it is more for a hobbyist or someone who uses light to medium weight tools in their hobby....it is not for a true mechanic and their heavy tools, those tools require ball bearing sliders. This fits in very well for home organization rather then garage organization.

This exact thing is on Sears BF list for $80, stack a $10 off 50 coupon (on Sears bf flyer first page). Waiting a week and you have it in store for $70

I am not a big fan of any of the anniversary tools, they are all a step down from Sear's standard version and way below the professional verion of the same tool. Before Kmart owned them they would add useless or something different but the quality never went down.

If I want cheap tools at a cheap price I will start shopping at Harbor Freight.

OP either way 89.99 is a good deal for a top and bottom tool chest, just does not deserve the craftsman badge.

The free bag is quite lame. I got one free over the weekend and I don't know if I'll ever use it. Small and doesn't completely close so things can fall out the top if the bag tips over, just a little velcro (i think)in the middle of the handles.

I had an eye on this chest and a 10" miter saw on black friday. Came back from Sears checking these items to decide if I want to get up early to buy them. Definitely I will pass up on the chest. It's made of very thin gauge steel. No wonder the reviews on Sears.com complained about shipping damages. This thing, you can deform it by pushing it with your thumb! if it is banged during shipping surely it will twist and deform. $70 is not much for a chest but this junk you have to figure out a way to get rid of it later. not worth it.

They don't have the chop saw for me to check it out but said they will have 3 to 4 units on BF. Anyone has experience with the saw: this saw here and here? It bothers me some reviewers said the handle is very easy to break off.

I bought the black one w/ free riser last year around thxgiving... for like $90 - arrived damaged.

Piece of junk even when undamaged.

I just sold it for about $80 and upgraded to the ball bearing one.

It doesn't matter if the chest is a piece of crap if you're just going to keep odds and ends in it. For the size and utility $100 isn't bad but Craftsman is always the safest bet imo when purchasing from Sears.
