They need to fix lots of small issues first... I am so glad to see that they have turned off the invites for a while... |

Not announcing....coming in on my T-Mobile phone as Unknown (instead of what I have my Grand Central number set to). You can change who it announces by adding names & numbers to your address book. |

I have been checking my T-Mobile Voicemail for free for years, here is what you need to do. 1. Turn OFF your cell phone. 2. From a landline, call your cell phone, your call goes straight to your Voicemail. 3. Hit the * key during your greetings then follow direction from there. This call does not count against any of your minutes, completely free, even for Prepaid. elray said:munasmom said:Actually, there is a way to check your voicemail without using your minutes. If you have free mobile to mobile (as in family plans), just dial your own number from your cell, and it directs u towards your voicemail, but counts as mobile to mobile minutes. 611 doesn't use minutes either.

actually... I dunno if they changed it, but it USED to be (and maybe still is) that you WERE charged minutes to check your vmail. Retarded. Yes. Reality. Yes
Actually, its counted against the secret "call forwarding" bucket. Secret, because 99% TMO users never exceed the quota, or if they do, and it comes out of their peak minutes, they don't exceed the peak minutes bucket. But it is *not* MTM billing.
I am very fond of my TMobile service, as they are very generous with minutes. But that doesn't mean they don't have some back-door limits lurking. So long as you check your bill and you know how to negotiate, it shouldn't be a big problem, but beware, it ain't completely free.

Maybe like 1 call a day will come in as Unknown and not as GrandCentral. If I'm afraid it will be a long call, I won't answer it and then I'll immediately make a return call to that number and it will come through alright. |

You can change who it announces by adding names & numbers to your address book. Are you sure - I just dialed my GC number which is set to fwd to my cell and I saw the full GC number show up on my Sprint cell phone. It also pulled up 'grandcentral' which is what I have saved it as in my Sprint phone's address book. As for adding number and name in GC address bok, I ahve done so for all the contacts and it still never announces the names but only says 'UNKNOWN' is calling... I am so wanting this to work |

hope it will be back to normal soon This must be localised to only some GC numbers I am thinking as mine just now worked... just 2 minutes ago at 4:18 PM EST, and I never encountered this issue today or earlier. Can you check by dialing your Sprint cell from a landline or anotehr phone to check if Sprint is dropping the caller ID by any chance. |

Yes I was sure. I haven't received any calls today and don't have a landline to check. I hope it was a temporary thing. That's too bad the announcing isn't working for you. I added more numbers yesterday when I was trying to figure out what the deal was. |
