Dell has the brown Zune on sale for $96.00 I just used a $75.00 coupon I had from buying a service paln for a computer to bring the price down to $27.xx shipped to my door. I have one in black and with the new firmware upgrade to 2.0 it's anice cheap MP3 player.
OK I had a Dell coupon leftover also, and my g/f has been hinting around at an MP3/Media player fo x-mas. Thanks OP This isn't THE cheapest I've seen these for but they go fast when the're much less than this AND I had a $50 Dell coupon making mine $53.46 after tax. Not bad for what she is gonna think is her BIG gift......the REAL big gift is going to be me washing my plate after dinner on x-mas! j/k Merry Christmas FWer's!
P.S. - Anyone know how good the audio/video hookup kit is for these? The "Official" ones? They have them at my local Staples for like $11.90 on clearance, but I wasn't sure which player I was getting her......is $12 worth it for the hookups?
I have a feeling the other colors will be in the same price range ($90s) after Bill Gates sells out the brown. 8.25% sales tax kills this deal. I ordered 2 brown Zune players from Amazon, they'll be delivered in early December. With such high demand, I hope they don't rush the production line to mess up my players.

They're good quality, on par with the Apple branded iPod accessories.
The A/V kit comes with a dock, remote, and cables to hook it up to a TV to watch video content on the TV. The same cables can be used to play the audio content through a stereo.
These things are going to be as common as canine poo at the local dog park (and they kind of look the same color).

Actually they work better than the Ipod remote...disregarding the fact that Apple is now locking out the video display on the new pods, they have never passed the menu system out the video, something I have never understood. You put the thing in a dock to watch it on a big screen, they sell you a remote, and you STILL have to control it physically from the fricckin pod ...MS lets you run the whole thing including the menus from the remote..and it kicks back to internal screen when you take it out of the dock

Funny thing is, that if this was on woot everyone would be going apesh*t over it, and those were refurbs.
I also am waiting on the Amazon deal. Its a yearly tradition that I sign up for their credit card and get $30 back. I just get one deal each year, and they let me do it all over again the next. I love Amazon.

I think they were trying for a luxurious burlwood car interior look, but to ppl who don't twig onto that, it does look like the squarest and firmest um, yeah I've ever seen. It's kinda funny, with that thought in mind, to watch people baby it, cradle it carefully and polish away smudges. FWIW, I do like it.

They missed, if that was the goal. I got one for my son for Christmas - hopefully he will not care if it is t*rd brown or not. If he does I will remind him "it is the thought that counts" .

Well, if he doesn't like the color, tell him to put it in a case or get a skin and no one will be the wiser.
The "double shot" effect is pretty nice on the brown and black Zunes. Base color with a surrounding layer of translucent plastic. Green surrounds the brown and blue surrounds the black.

But for many like myself who will be going to Sears or a nearby Mall anyway shopping for other items, it's a no-brainer process to do the easy PM. Especially if I can obtain a Zune in a color one actually likes (i.e., not brown). Plus I'll have it in-hand for gift giving rather than wait for online vendors to stock it and/or repeatedly delay shipping dates like Scamazon has done.
Only problem is Costco does not list the 30gb Zune online that I can see, so PM deal at Sears is dead unless someone else has a better idea.

PM to TRU they will have the Brown Zune on BF for $79 plus Sears will PM that price if your Sears have any in stock.

I heard someone on SD was going to try to get one today with the ad in hand PM TRU and there is Additional 10% electronics by using your Sears card, & today is the last day for that. I can't do it My Sears has NO 30GB Zunes. good luck

Just got two white Zunes (they were out of stock of black) and the home AV connector kit price matched with the 110% guaranty at Sears. Thanks for the suggestion to try Sears.

There was a thread yesterday for those that had a Meijer next to them, all colors were $89.99. I picked up a white one myself.
Got PM to Dell at Sears. At first they did not want to do it since Dell is not a local competitor, so YMMV. They only had white, but it's better than ugly brown.
Seems like it unfortunately. Just in time for the 20% off paypal discount. Now they expect people to pay $4 EXTRA to get a brown one rather than black or white, yeah right.....
