Newegg has this Verbatim 8.5GB 6X 20-Pack DVD+R DL Dual-Layer Media for $24.99 ($32.99 - $8 Rebate) with free shipping. Item has very good review too!!!

This is one of the cheapest I can found for this media. IMO, Verbatim media should be better than Memorex. Enjoy the deal!!!

Rebate is parago. I haven't had any problem with parago ritek rebates, but not sure how verbatims are.

Thanks. I was in need of more discs. I was running out since I like to "backup" all my stuff.

Looks like some buyers at Newegg are having problems with these disks. If they are "Made in India", they may not be of as high a quality as those made in Singapore.

J&R has Memorex 50pk for $35+tax. I understand the Verbatim media is better than Memorex. But are they worth twice the $$s?

Depends on your burner. Some people get tons of coasters with the Riteks (Memorex). Personally, I don't, so while I buy Verbs when there's a good deal, most of my burns are on Riteks.

Awesome deal. Thanks OP!

Great deal! Am a little concerned though with all the recent (ie. the last couple of weeks) negative review on Newegg on these ones... sounds like they may have a bad batch of Verbatim disks in their stock... if you buy these, make sure to check them out to see if there are at least any problems visually with the disks..

May be the "Made in India" ones. Those don't take well to burning at more than 2.4x. Singapores are fine.

Thanks. Grabbed the ones from J&R.

I never have a problem with Verbatim.
But yea, it is a bit pricy. however, this is a great price. I'm in

There's no "bad batch." The problem is that Verbatim has outsourced the production of much of their newer 2.4x DL media to India, and the quality is less than stellar in comparison to the disks made in Singapore at the main Verbatim plant.

You can't buy media online and know exactly what you're going to get, so it's a crapshoot. If you want the best, you have to buy your media in a B&M.

Less stellar is an understatement - I'll go as far as to say the India discs are complete crap. You'd be better off buying Matrix DL's from Shop4tech (by the way, BF15 is the code for 15% off) which are more reliable than Verbatim DL's made in India.

I'd say wait for another Best Buy $30 deal where to you and pick out Singapore discs that are truly excellent.

I saw this and was thinking of jumping in the deal. But after reading the recent reviews about bad quality drop of made in India media, I give up. There is no way you can choose where they were made, of course.

I recently took a chance on Matrix DL's from Shop4tech, having searched the net and read the reviews. What a nightmare! The most unreliable DL's I've ever had. I have an NEC-3500A, which might be older than most of your devices, but my only solid choice for DL's has been Verbatim. Then again, if this batch from Newegg is bad, I won't know where to turn.

Doesn't show as free shipping for me.

That code is not working, any other coupon codes?
