ishiyakazuo said:You should probably read more carefully. This deal is done. It says "The sales on the first three models are valid tomorrow only, while Circuit City and Sears are running their discounts on November 24th, and December 7th - 8th respectively." In other words, the Sears deal will be 12/7-12/8. The Sears deal is a 42" 1080p model, which is probably very similar to their 47" that just got panned last month by Home Theater Magazine as having lower res than a true 720p display. Link to Gizmodo discussion about Vizio 47" 1080p How is the deal done? You post has the quote saying the deal will be back December 7th- 8th for this Vizio 20". |

"Respectively" means the first company (Circuit City)'s deal is for the first date: 11/24, and the second company (Sears)'s deal is for the second date(s): 12/7-12/8. It could be reworded to say: "while Circuit City is running their discount on November 24th, and Sears on December 7th - 8th." |

Oops. You're right. I didn't pay attention to the 'respectively' when I read it. Sorry about that. |

No problem, just thought it would be better to inform rather than read a bunch of people saying "Circuit City screwed me!" come Dec. 7. I've never seen a manufacturer talk about sales on their own products like that before, so at least if you're in the market for a (potentially crappy) 42" 1080p display, you can go for that one on 12/7. |

Amazing that all stores only had display yesterday and wouldn't sell it at $199 and now back to regular price an is available online as well as in some stores. Talk about bait and switch. Also when you try to call to discuss, they have a disclaimer that it was limited quantities and no rain checks were available. What a f__ked company. Anybody else encounter anything similar? My CC never had any in stock. I just got a rain check to pick it up on tuesday. |
