shipping and tax kills it... if you go to Newegg.com and use paypal on one xbox 360 game and one controller AND one game system (either Newegg or another paypal merchant), you'd be spending a little below what you'd be paying for this WalMart deal nice try though |

Subtotal: $399.00 Shipping: $24.97 Tax: $0.00 Order Total: $423.97 Without tax it's a good deal for me. Shipping sucks but still a good deal w/ the extra controller and game. Thanks OP.

Since the ad does NOT say Online Only; why wouldn't this work in the store? I should be able to go to my local Wal~Mart and get this. Can you also add the free Halo deal on from xbox.com onto this?

How come "Site to Store" option doesn't work? It says on WalMart's website that this option is "Available," but when I get to the shipping options, I only see one: $$ Standard Shipping. What a joke WalMart is! |

nice try though I disagree. Read here... "The maximum total amount of Cash Back per PayPal account is $50 USD." so for $350, you are not getting 20% (-$70), but only 14% (-$50) and Newegg.com still charge shipping (+tax very). control, game, and bag are going to be charged at full price (+shipping/tax) ($50 limit), unless you open 2nd PayPal account. |

Maybe you should include the cost of your internet provider too since you're into online gaming. Oh, and you need a TV on which to play the game system so you should amortize the cost of your TV over the life of the system. Add electricity to run the system. And you might as well throw in the opportunity cost of you not working a second job while playing the system. Sheesh...the 360 is crazy expensive *rolls eyes* Now if I could have only gotten in on this deal...looking for a cheap way to upgrade to an HDMI capable 360. |

where? Arcade 360? I think he's talking about using the 20%off (up to $50) via paypal. That'd be $300 + 2.95 shipping at Overstock. However, it looks like they don't have the holiday bundle so no free games. |

Now if I could have only gotten in on this deal...looking for a cheap way to upgrade to an HDMI capable 360. What? This is a system-specific cost, not some background cost that is equal on all systems like food and a television :/. When you have a product that has fees for netplay when the competitor has none, it should be noted before purchasing. Not everyone's as rich as you and can just ignore that and selfishly disconnect it from the base price. Whether you think it's worth it or not is a different matter entirely, but I don't see how you can fault my logic as a consumer to want to use cost of ownership rather than shelf price. |

Did anyone weighing in on this discussion actually score anything? I mean, not a single person has posted, "In for one." Maybe WalMart was just running a huge scam on all of us, and NO one got ANYTHING. I wouldn't put it past the #!@& jerks..... |

Thanks for responding. Cool! Then, I'm glad at least one FWer benefited from the deal.....better luck for me/the rest of us next time, I suppose I don't know how much I even "saved," but on BF I happened to be in Circuit City and they had XBox 360 and Guitar Hero II (including the guitar) for $349.99...so I got that. My daughter said that WalMart's deal today was the best, almost unbelievable to her, but I just couldn't get in on it....oh, well. Still have to buy my teen Madden 08' and Halo. Sigh.....my handicap is being utterly ignorant about this whole video game thing. |

I posted mine earlier. $25 for shipping sucked but since it was to an APO I didn't have to pay tax. The deal didn't come 'alive' until later. I think I got it around 5am EST (I'm in Belgium) |

looking for a cheap way to upgrade to an HDMI capable 360. Was wondering the same thing until my 360 started grinding. Got Bestbuy to swap it under extended warranty for a Halo 3 version. Sounds much better now and saved me from sending it in for repair. |

For those of us that don't need a bag (which I'm guessing is 90% of the people here), this deal isn't so great. Basically adds a free game since $399 covers the standard xbox+controller price. The shipping is pretty pricey too. Good bundle if you do need/want that bag though. |
