MS Money

$40 - $40Rebate

Confirmed with CR that the $40 Rebate form comes with the box.(Sticker kind)

>>>>>>>>>
If you received in the Staples email $20 off $100 today..then use it with "Refurbished Brother MFC-5440CN" as discussed here to bring the total under $15 AR & AC (plus taxes.)
>>>>>>>>>

Sorry..if its a repost. Did a search and didn't find any.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Well.. Guys you are right the Box did come with $20 Rebate only. So Staples had mis-advertised on their site. But I did save the image of the copy and called CSR and they admitted the mess up on the site.
I got a $20 voucher. FAR for me.
Being a FW'er one needs to know how to get around. Price mistakes, erroneous Ads.. we exploit those here.

So.. those of you who jumped on this and need a web page copy....PM me.

Rebate Form Download

Edit:- Second look, this one seems to be for Microsoft Money 2007 (not 2008 as in OP).
So most probably may not work in this case.

Staples says "Special Buy,Free after rebate savings", which indicates you may have to buy something else to make this free.

Does it say $20 only?

# Check the box below for the qualifying product you downloaded.

Microsoft Money Plus Deluxe, $20 rebate
Microsoft Money Plus Premium, $30 rebate
Microsoft Money Plus Home & Business, $30 rebate

I found the same information in the M$ rebate website.
Please note that this rebate is for download, not box version.
You can download the Deluxe version from M$ for $30 and send in the $20 rebate.
Not free, though.

I can't remember ever seeing Money FAR without requiring tax software purchase - I'd say pretty likely here that Staples has this screwed up.

-print the Staples webpage as proof of the FAR
-easy to return to a local store if the manager doesn't help out with the rebate
-ebates is 4%

No brainer to me. I HIGHLY recommend MS Money to everyone who cares about their finances. Even if you only use it for keeping track of your accounts, its worth every penny. I upgrade every year.

It explicitly says "FREE after mail-in rebate with purchase of ANY TaxCut software".

Also no rebate is listed at stapleseasyrebates.com

I went to my local Staples and the Store manager called up Staples CSR who confirmed that its an error on the website and the rebate is only $20. You need to buy another qualifying software to get the full $40 rebate. She also advised those who have purchased only will only get $20 rebate sticker and hence will need to call up and ask for return label.

alert mods

That is incorrect. The download from Microsoft is $30 after rebate ($50 - $20 = $30).

I also called and no one could find the rebate.
Too risky for me

There is almost always a FAR Money deal when buying with tax software, but its never FAR on its own.

Good look, that rebate is for 2007. Has anyone received the product in the mail yet and checked out the rebate form on the box?

alert mods

I just called in, CRS told me it is an error. There will be no such a $40 rebate for this product. I had it cancelled.

I bought one from B&M. On the shelf said free after rebate. The store manager told me to go to Microsoft website because of the one on the shelf is old. There should be new coupon in the Microsoft.
Turns out it is all a lie..... returning it to the store tomorrow. It is waste of time.
