Rather than paying $70 and doing three rebates ($50+20+$30) you can pay $60 and do two ($60+$30).
A growing catch with these rebates, however, is the clause "Rebate amount paid to customer for single or combined rebate offers may not exceed the purchase price of the McAfee product." Another thread indicates they're starting to crack down on this.
And to confirm an earlier post, yes, the $45 rebate is for the 2007 edition, not this one.
I honestly mean no disrespect to other posters here, and I THANK the OP for posting this deal.
But as a veteran of the "crazy" deal earlier this year I would like to offer a couple of thoughts:
1. Parago has tightened up a bit of late. Do not expect a ride as easy as we had it six months ago. That episode cost the publishers huge $$$$ and they have adjusted.
2. The best way to make money on these software products, whether it be Symantec, CA, or McAfee, is to buy at a low price from a reputable seller.
My most recent deal was N360 bought at Staples for $25. I have made about $65 so far on that deal and still have one rebate I am UNABLE to validate. Believe me I've tried every trick I know; and I continue to try.
I will not bite on this deal because of the high cost of entry. I am watching this same software at Amazon.
The above said differently:
If you get in too high and Parago messes with your rebates you have less cushion. These days we need more cushion on these deals, IMHO, not less.
