Is it me or are a lot of these " Friends and family" sales and discounts just come ons and just a fancy name for " JUST ANOTHER SALE" Seems to me when this concept was first broached years ago, there were some great discounts. But now a lot of places seem to be doing them and mostly are no better than any other normal sale they run throughout the year.

Completely agree. Friends and Family have traditionally been the BEST sale, not just another sale. That means nearly no exclusions. Any store that has exclusions are a fake friends and family sale (like golfsmith). But hey, I'll take it anyway!!

The real friends and family sales are Macy's for example. They have a sale every single day, but their friends and family sale does not exclude anything except Louis Vuitton (the sale even includes Coach).
