Our thanks for shopping on eBay—make your holiday wins a little sweeter.
Where else but eBay could you find a rare coin for Uncle Milt, a one-of-a-kind vintage handbag for Sally (for a song), and a great deal on a new iPhone for Joey?
Who is eligible to redeem this eBay Holiday Savings Coupon?
This special offer is only for registered eBay users who received a Holiday Savings Coupon email from eBay or who logged into www.eBay.com with their own eBay User ID and saw a Holiday Savings ad there. The Holiday Savings Coupon is not transferable. See Eligibility for details.
How to redeem your eBay Holiday Coupon: 1. Log in at www.eBay.com using your eBay User ID. (NOTE: If you have more than one eBay User ID, this offer is valid only for the User ID associated with the email at which you received the Coupon or the User ID you had logged in with when you saw the Holiday Savings ad.) 2. Shop with sellers who accept PayPal. Just look for the PayPal logo. 3. Ensure the listing ends before the Coupon expiration date (December 18, 2007 11:59:59 PM PST) 4. During checkout, select PayPal as your payment method. (Make sure the email address on your eBay User ID account is also on your PayPal account. More details .) 5. When prompted, enter your redemption code
I got 20% off, up to $100 discount; would be interested to know what others received. Based on responses, seems it may be based on amount spent on eBay w/ PayPal (??). The code seems pretty generic, but they're specific that only the coupon recipient can use it. This must be eBay/PayPal trying to make up for their fiasco this week. Whatever, I guess it's time to buy the Wii!
OP should put "HUGE YMMV" in the title since very few folks appear to have been "chosen".....

I don't have anything either, and make many purchases each year, most all with paypal. Perhaps they will stager distributing these "rewards" to people.

It's right on the front page when you sign in. You don't need to click on anything.
My dad's account got an offer in the mail for $25 off of $100(pre-shipping, pre-tax) on eBay when you use Paypal to pay. Expires Nov 30th on his. Looks like a semi-generic redemption code but I am sure it is tied to his account.
i imagine that you can make an auction for $100 for a pen or a lighter or something and have a friend with this coupon "buy" it from you. My guess is that the auction fees will be less than the $20. Also, if someone else buys your auction, you really just got a YMMV deal

I use the site quite a bit, always use PayPal, and I only see the MC offer.
edit: Thanks for making me aware though, I usually ignore all those types of ads and wouldn't seen it on my own had I gotten a better offer. Not sure why you're getting so many reds.

I know I spent more than you but I didn't get one either (only the "10% off when you apply for an eBay Mastercard" offer)
I would think the low/non-spenders would get this promo. eBay is not trying to reward its good customers, its trying to get its light/non users to use eBay more.

I would think the low/non-spenders would get this promo. eBay is not trying to reward its good customers, its trying to get its light/non users to use eBay more. This is often the way of things. However, in my mind it is a bit short-sighted because it often ends up pissing off a bunch of loyal customers who don't appreciate getting left out in the cold. But hey, eBay/PayPal are hardly known for rewarding loyalty. I know PowerSellers who say they could talk to 10 eBay CSRs and at least 9 of them will treat you like they wish you'd drop dead on the spot so they could go take a coffee break. And apparently even PowerSellers also find it literally impossible to get email replies from PayPal anymore. Apparently they have a culture there that believes they are invincible and so they can do as they please. It's amazing how many people never learn from history - no person, no regime, no society, no business who ever thought they were invincible turned out to be, not one!

Pay for your item with PayPal before the expiration date: February 28, 2008 11:59:59 PM PST. (Make sure the email address on your eBay account is also on your PayPal account. Find out how.) 4. Enter the redemption code: February 28th, 2008? This is still around? How do I go about getting this discount?
I am about to purchase the most expensive item I have ever bought at eBay.com, so any discounts at all will really, really help. Thank you.
