My dad's account got an offer in the mail for $25 off of $100(pre-shipping, pre-tax) on eBay when you use Paypal to pay. Expires Nov 30th on his. Looks like a semi-generic redemption code but I am sure it is tied to his account.

i imagine that you can make an auction for $100 for a pen or a lighter or something and have a friend with this coupon "buy" it from you. My guess is that the auction fees will be less than the $20. Also, if someone else buys your auction, you really just got a YMMV deal

MC offer for me as well...

alert mods

I got the 20% Off up to $100.

alert mods

yeah. same here. all i got is a cc offer.

I use the site quite a bit, always use PayPal, and I only see the MC offer.

edit: Thanks for making me aware though, I usually ignore all those types of ads and wouldn't seen it on my own had I gotten a better offer. Not sure why you're getting so many reds.

This is only a hot deal if you happen to have a coupon and you win my auction. Wait... I have no listing on eBay.

alert mods

Nothing here. I've been buying a lot from eBay recently so maybe they figure I don't need an incentive to buy more.

alert mods

I got $25 off a purchase of $100 or more

:::sigh:::
I was always picked last for baseball, too.
No coupon love for me.

alert mods

MC offer only. Nice try, though.

Same MC offer... like I don't have enough credit cards already.

alert mods

yea, this is bullshit. it's for the eBay mastercard.. not all eBay users

alert mods

Nevermind.

I know I spent more than you but I didn't get one either (only the "10% off when you apply for an eBay Mastercard" offer)

I would think the low/non-spenders would get this promo. eBay is not trying to reward its good customers, its trying to get its light/non users to use eBay more.

I spent nearly 2K on eBay and didn't get anything either.

This is often the way of things. However, in my mind it is a bit short-sighted because it often ends up pissing off a bunch of loyal customers who don't appreciate getting left out in the cold. But hey, eBay/PayPal are hardly known for rewarding loyalty. I know PowerSellers who say they could talk to 10 eBay CSRs and at least 9 of them will treat you like they wish you'd drop dead on the spot so they could go take a coffee break. And apparently even PowerSellers also find it literally impossible to get email replies from PayPal anymore. Apparently they have a culture there that believes they are invincible and so they can do as they please. It's amazing how many people never learn from history - no person, no regime, no society, no business who ever thought they were invincible turned out to be, not one!
